Wolfman

When is it enough?
Or is it that someone is telling you you can't have it?
Lay your pride down on the ground.
Fur will only take you so far.
Make trash of those fangs.
Antelopes move north tonight.
No. I'm not coming.

Beware

Last night in a forest, poor Dan

got bit by some creature. He ran

to the safety of home,

but as I write this poem,

he's changing! Beware the wolfman!

Halloween Law

A Wookiee, the Wolfman and Jaws
Broke all of the Halloween laws
The shark got first bite
And was not contrite
His friends crawled away on their paws

Wolfman Sated

Sitting by his burned fire logs red embers glow and morph into visual stimulus.
Wolfman is sated on venison and has meat hung for jerky in his log home.
Wolfman is pleased with his skill in hunting and survival in the wilderness.
If his buddies could see him now....what they must think?!

Wolfman

It's full moon
and he is feeling tense
angry
hopeless
and desperate
taking antidepressants
by fists
talking to his
psychiatrist
yelling to his
little kids
to his wife
and to the police
spending the weekend
in jail
howling
like a wounded beast...

pray
for this
poor Wolfman
born with shackles
on hands...

Wolfgirl

There was a full moon when I met her
And I said to myself “I must get her”
Then the wolf in her flared
And I got real scared
When she said it’s OK, I can pet her

I've had therapy sessions and yet
She was something I just can't forget
If I whistle a tune
When there is a full moon
She comes to me just like an old pet

The Wolfman. ( 1941 and 2010.)

Soon the sun will set and the moon will rise.
Stay safe and stay here or he will find you.
Sleek silver hunter with red rabid eyes
The sun starts to set. The moon starts to rise.
He growls lupine rage. This predator spies
his victim, alone. He leaps straight and true.
The sun disappears. The moon is your eyes.
Stay safe and stay here or he will find you.

Wolfman Falls In Love

A car door opens
her long shapely leg steps first
this is love or lust

The heart beat flutters
he watches each moves she makes
deep within he sighs

Which move shall he make
I am so sorry Wolfman
this tail is taken

Her name is Molly
she does tricks for her master
rolls over and sits

Wolfman

the wolf inside him speaks
telling him of his life so bleak
the wolf needs to come alive
to stay alive
or else end before his time
by one man-father time
awakened by the earth's growls
on all fours he sprowls
scavenging through wooded acres he roams
looking for something to comb
devoured by day's eluding sun
knowing deep within his heart
his choice of leaving civilization was smart

Wolfman

As the wolves continued to hunt in their pack
There was nothing that they would lack
They found a man who would join the nightly hunt
Raiding the forests in their nightly jaunts
No, fear did they seem to display
Hunting at night and sleeping by day
As each early morning sun would rose
He would find himself in a crouched up pose
It felt like he was living some strange, strange dream
For his clothes were dirty and ripped at the seams

Wolfman

Woke up with a funny taste in my mouth.
Drank all my mouth wash, think I ate a mouse.

Burned out my razor just shaving my face.
It seems that I'm shedding all over the place.

I'm allergic to silver, the Wolf's Bane's in bloom,
And I hate it whenever we have a full moon.

Can't keep a girlfriend, they don't understand,
No walks in the moon light while I hold their hand.

My dog doesn't like me, the cat ran away,
And others bemoan one single bad day.

Simply Stupid

I've been called fat
by the obese
and dumb by the clown
Mocked what I see
when blind had a frown
Favored the morons
who said I was great
and clapped for the wolfman
who urged me up late

Said I was simple
to those who'd had help
Asked for their mercy
when they'd stop to yelp

Changed for the others
who saw what I did
Knowing them all
and all that they hid

Paid for their crimes
in all I had left
and made more than money
from alms I have theft

Monsters of Old

When monsters of old come to mind
 I remember good old Frankenstein
And if I should go swimming in the afternoon
I may encounter the creature from the black lagoon

If a taste for blood is what I desire
I would definitely bump into some vampires
If its the living dead I wish to see
Then there's all those flesh eating zombies

If the full moon should arise
The howl of the wolfman will surprise
 Then there's good old Godzilla
One of my favorite monster thrillas

Welcome To the Club Frankenstein

On Halloween beneath the full moon
Both the Wolfman and Dracula drools
The fun will begin when the Witches drop in
It's another night out with the Ghouls

You'll find a host of dancing Demons
Followed by Ghosts and Goblins galore
There'll be flesh to dine at Club Frankenstein
You just pick what you want off the floor

All the drinks comes straight from the vein
But don't worry if a few drops spill
You can tell your friends the feast never ends
Until everyone's had their fill

Monsters Madness

Thunder rumbles lightning flashes.
Druids chant rhythmic runes.
Electrifying tonights mood.
Tis Draculas Halloween bash.
Wolfman arrived in a mask
And his houndstooth zoot suit.
Six witches with red sashes
Flew loops on hickory brooms.
If Frankensteins' bride laughs
It sounds like raspy kazoos.
Ten fashionable tom cats
Wore bat festooned top hats.
As The Ghouls band played bassoons.
At Count Draculas bashes
Each dance is monster's Madness.
But the punch was new hemlock brew.
