Withholding Charity

   Much-maligned during his Presidency
George W. Bush still denied residency
     in the Republican Party today

‘Midst the mess in the Middle East
The GOP yet withholds its charity
~ from a leader of true moral clarity

You Will Come Back

I know, love, you'd surely come back,
Though our conflict seems hilly crack;
Does angry moon, her waxing crop?
Do rude roses their blooming stop?
Though your ego your mind withholds,
I can hear your steps cross thresholds.

Wilderness

          Wild and desolate land
                    withholds hope, suffocates
               winds whip hot with warnings
        weary wanderers faint
wretched predicament.
        Where can one escape fate?
            Watch for a Redeemer.

Hope

For so long I had given up hope,

Thought I’d roam this earth alone.

But you walked in with such grace and ease,

Can’t picture a day when you would ever leave.

Scared, I was, for quite some time,

For my broken past has shown you why.

Yet here we are, our future withholds,

And as time goes on we’re learning to know,

That love grows deepest as time unfolds....

Trail To Happiness

A man seeking happiness
Arrives at a crossroads,
He gives a confused jest
At directions a lone sign withholds.

He walks in the right path,
It led to clearer fields
And then there alone he sat,
He realizes and then yields.

The trail to happiness is clear,
A clearer more transparent answer,
It's ourselves my dear,
Happiness is always ever nearer....

Mom

I saw you Mom!

I have passed through the thin silvery mist.
Scattering the letters, like feathers.

Watched them fly over hills ,and then disappeared.
Ah _ how young I was in the dream!

Too young to know,
how death would take your smile like wings,

How would made of it strange heavenly birds,
In strange unearthly place,

Where nothing withholds the sun! But fog....

Solus, My Shadow Friends

He of the Flame withholds his blade
Liquid gold disks drip down from the tip
In total there was six
The earth was pregnant with a brand new soul
Two of the disks the mother stole
And gave them to her new child as eyes
He carried them with him through each life
He shines radiant beneath the light
A beauty in the shadows
Like a painting
Fades into the night
Forever known
Solus...

Magdalena

Magdalena,
  your beauty known

Magdalena,
  your wisdom shown

Magdalena,
  firm and steadfast

Magdalena,
  communed repast

Magdalena,
  so loved a man

Magdalena,
  his blood in hand

Magdalena,
  though history scolds

Magdalena,
  your heart withholds

Magdalena,
  much more than friend

Magdalena,
  —the truth contends

Different

Quick to judge, different, weird and outcast. All that shows your judging by the cover.
Your examining the outside and forgetting about the inside. That's we're you failed. The
most beautiful thing about an person is the inside. The inside withholds warmth, emotions
and love. A person is like a banana, peel the outside and go for the good stuff in the
middle. Before quick judge comments emerge from your mouth....

Faith In God

Art by Dolores Develde

In prayer, exhaustion and depression
fade like darkness at dawn. My regret
lifts like fog in spring and aggression
drifts away with the clouds at sunset.
If my shimmering skies lose their gleam,
I find faith in God who gently holds
me in His heavenly glow. I beam
in the love that He never withholds.

Unrelenting

How does my body
This flesh that withholds my soul,,
manage to bear the weight from the chains that have been embedded upon my bequeathing heart?

Where does one hide the pain that is encrusted upon these eyes that are dreary and now fail to sleep?

Why cant my mind acquit, my heart adrift, my skin ache for the touch of another?

Does it have to be me that has to live with this night, because happiness is the other side of this mirror?

The One

How did I miss when the term neurodivergent
Became synonymous with the word insurgent?

Nevermind, we clearly aren't speaking the same language.
And I won't get anything out of this but anguish.

I am not the fault in our stars.
I am not the one who is clearly from Mars.

I am not the one who withholds my reaction waiting on some deeply embedded cue.
My words are always direct and they are always true.
No I Am not the one, because the one is YOU!...

The Widower

Brittle bones crackle through the hall,
as I slowly trudge to an empty bed.
Outside my window dies a barren Fall,
and what survives but my Winter dread?

Slipping into the bitter-chilled covers?
shrinking beneath ‘til I’m cloaked blind.?
Despising the demons who steal our lovers?
like feckless butchers of the conscious mind.??

Death stares me in my jealous eyes,
withholds from me his seductive knife.
Does he not hear my bitter cries?
Why plague me with abandoned life??...

Beauty You Withhold

I see your eyes like stars from the sky.
I paint you with the colors of Beauty.
I challenge the shadows that chase you.
I see past the shield your heart may hold.

Conquering your heart is my goal.
Success never leaves me alone.
Loving you is what this heart withholds.
True love for you is what carries my soul.

Beating the odds for you is easy task to me.
Passion burns like fire in my chest.
Your the world to me and everything else.
Loving you is the best addiction and my destiny...
