the hills of home
they sing to me

with every step
they sweetly whisper
of your name

Hurtin' Before the Fall

I take a walk
every morning,
anticipating I'd
fall with every step.
Well, it has been
a year now and
I'm yet to. But I
still can't understand
why I'm hurting already.

Twinkle Irma Survovors

Twinkle, twinkle little star, Wish I may, Wish I might see you in the early morning light. So that I may call to the Lord's first database. Full and bright with every step I take.

Just Live Your Life

Just live your life
One day at a time
Embrace each opportunity
With every step in line
Let the challenge build you
Move towards the right direction
Enlighten your world
Always take action

We all wish for something more than what we see,
We’re all searching for a place where we can be free.
With every step we take, the stakes are high,
But we lift each other up, make our spirits fly.

With Every Breathe I Take

With every breathe I take
you my love, are farther away than before.
When I breath in, you go further away,
my love with every step you take,
I am one more short breathe away from
my Blue-Eyed Death.

Premium Member True Height

Flowing smile
Spreading out from within
Long feet
Leaping across hills
Striding over barriers
Riding over pains
With every step
Bellowing up steam
From every fated puff
Drawing out illusion
That reaches too high
Form:

The Map

So we wandered across the old forest,
Our shoes full of mud, our clothes covered in water
The rain poured down? as a waterfall would

The sticks and stones were our allies
As with every step
We could hear the crunching

I Watched My Feet

I watched my feet
as I paced down
the street.

The concrete beneath me-
sharp and cutting,
like a glass-trimmed city,
filled with
agony and sin.

With every step
I bled more and more,
but on this road
I bled alone.
Form:

Beaten Path

I stumbled down the beaten path
Where beaten men lay down
To try to find exactly what
Had beat these men to the ground
With every step I searched again
'Till I could stand no more
Now I am a broken man
Resting upon the floor

Premium Member Remember These Words

      With everyone you ever meet
With every step of your two feet
         Every time that you compete

If you want your life to be complete
       Remember these words forever sweet
‘Respect’ is ever a two-way street

Premium Member Arthritis In My Finger

Arthritis in my finger
Arthritis in my toe
All day long
Wherever I do go

Aches and pains
With every step or poke
Taking my energy
Aging is not a joke

Arthritis in my wrist
Arthritis in my knee
I wish I had been as careful
As others seemed to be

The Weight of Tomorrow

I sit alone beneath the sky,
Uncle, thinking of your last goodbye,
The world feels heavy, dreams unclear,
With every step, I carry fear.

Graduation looms - so close, so wide,
But doubt and worry walk beside.
You always knew just what to say…
I wish you could be here today

Listen to poem:
walking mindfully
the path
drawn with intent

wise to the journey
in rhythm
with the heartbeat

breathing in
soulful serenity
with every step

autumn breeze
at one's caress
in sync with universal life

Premium Member LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES

May we be blessed with every step we take
to be big
and smart
and strong
whenever we make a mistake…

This is the blessing of the day
now let’s take some time to inspect it…

Big enough to admit we’ve made a mistake
Smart enough to learn from it
and Strong enough to correct it

Premium Member With Every Step

I've tried to find the honesty in love,
But it seemed to be sideways.
Nothing ever did fit, like hand and glove;
So, I've prayed for better days

For better ways and circumstances,
Hoping that she will arrive in my life.
How do I fight for those chances,
If I'm ever to find a wife?

Pegasus

I saw a creature,
His coat a glowing white;
He walks on four hoof-shaped golden bricks
That pound against the Earth with every step he takes
His huge, glowing wings
Spread from his body
Watching this creature
Spread his wings and fly
Is like meeting an angel
I have just come face to face with
the one and only...
Pegasus!

I Understand

I traced along the battered spine,
But it was not in me
To brace along those tattered lines.

Much I tried to bare the bines,
As straight as I could be,
Caught laced, always, in those tangled vines.

Until – disarrayed – I broke, and heard the chimes.
I have learned to mend,
With every step along this battered bend.

Premium Member The River of Opportunity

A flowing river, wide and deep,
With opportunities, for girls to keep.
Let education be the guiding stream,
To nourish their dreams, and make them sparkle.

With every step, a chance to grow,
Their potential is nurtured, to show truly.
The river of opportunity, a boundless flow,
Will lead them forward, to heights they'll know.

Wait For Me

Time moves so quickly,
 just yesterday you were here
soft-spoken and smiling
 and then...

how quickly the years pass
and I on the journey that remains
for me by myself
 alone, without you.

With or without you
 every step procedes
and I miss you with every step
 so wait for me
and time will be ours
 once more, together.

What Is Life

Life is seeing joy but not experiencing it
Life is pleasure but not having any
Life is love but not receiving any

Life is a stich in a race that gets more painful with every step
Life is regrets that follow you around mocking you
Life is a dull ache that gets worse every day

Life is meaningless
Life is pointless
Life is pain

The Dance

He extended his arm and held my hand,
Invitingly for a romantic dance.
I didn't know to,needed a magic wand
He asked me to give him a chance,
Gripped my waist,I fell into a trance
And made me stand on his feet.
The music playing was ever sweet,
Our eyes sparkling,fiery bright,
With every step so perfect so neat,
We danced, showered by glittering moonlight..

Outside My Window

I hear his slow footsteps,
crunching the leaves of the Maple tree...
Outside my window.
I cannot breathe, I cannot move,
I do not know this man...
Outside my window.
My heart pounding with every step,
I can feel his presence...
Outside my window.
As courage floods my veins, I run for help,
but he's gone...
Outside my window.

Remember

Staring into your eyes, hope grabs my heart,
The love I've felt inside from the start,
With every step forward becomes a clearer view,
Pulling my heart into you,
Your name resounded from years ago,
Through the tears of past heartache, a promise to show,
I remember your eyes as if I've seen them my whole life,
They erase all my fears, your love has changed my sight,

Homage To Living a Sober Life

Drop a rock into a still pond,
and the ripples echo.
A large enough rock,
and a pond sized tsunami,
waves echoing beyond the edges.
Every step I take creates ripples.
Sometimes, a tsunami.
After all, I'm not screaming in outer space.
And the trillions of steps before mine
that gave me the ground I walk on,
need to be acknowledged by the care I take with every step.
