Opened To the Public
Once the paper is kissed with ink of beautiful array,
Only to share with the world today.
Whisk away,
Into the public's arena without delay.
The poet's life is finished for one to say,
"Are you out there? Hey!"
"Look!"
"I know in the writing I left my life an opened book."
"I'm smiling in saying cheese."
"Give me my privacy! Please!"...

Premium Member My Next Brain
My next brain needs a bigger cow catcher.
The one I have now barely clears wolves and bears.
I want a scoop that will clear a huge swath.
Can push away skyscrapers and fire stairs.
To be able to blade away snowplows too.
Would make my heart leap with sheer crazy joy.
A blade to whisk away all sad, all thoughts of blue.
A fifty-five foot cowcatcher of fun, oh boy!...

A Kiss Goodnight
The ocean caps
Whisk in
Covering
The shore within

Night or day
They
Smoothly Whisk away
A silent night

Stars so bright
Glittering on the waves
Moon so bright
A kiss delight

Love has caught the wind
Floating along
The sand
Catching your lips

A kiss goodnight

Premium Member Rain Harp
The fluidity of strings, the rain harp ~
tears of joy and sadness spill, from incense
prayers of cacophonous clouds, clapping loud.
Sweet cherub fingers plink, spot on and sharp.

Wings whisk away the doldrums, banish doubts.
Tenderly, the raindrop symphony, lifts
the spirits of the drenched fallen earthlings.
The lilting psalm of living water spouts.

Taking a Magic Carpet Ride
Come one come all hurry do not hide
I want you to come along on a magic carpet ride
Cap in hand, sit don't stand
We'll whisk away to our favorite land

Andrea Dietrich sit for a spell
I will tell you now my magic tale
Of days of adventure on foreign sands
Left in wonder to what is at hand

Open our imaginations and figure out how to steer
And then how to fly this rug or buy some beer

Along the Mountain Road
The sun peeks a mischievous child
In hide and seek,
Defrosting the windows with its breath;
Mists of a night forgotten by sleep
Fading like a ghost bidding farewell.
I whisk away the blanket of slumber
From my eyes
That I may wonder at nature's tears
Thaw from crystals
In every leaf of greenery
While statuesque trees
Point to heaven in seeming praise,
All these as I traverse
The asphalt-paved wrinkles of this
Prehistoric giant's face....

Seeking Better
Will there ever be a day
when grief and sorrow goes away?

Will memories provide and sustain
to drive away this awful pain.

Our best laid plans have come apart
could not foresee this broken heart.

What choice if any, was left to me
for this is what, has come to be.

Alone I forge life anew
a life devoid, and missing you!

I seek relief of better days
to whisk away my gloomy haze.

Perhaps some sun, I might find
to brighten skies of troubled mind....
