Seeking Better

Will there ever be a day
when grief and sorrow goes away?

Will memories provide and sustain
to drive away this awful pain.

Our best laid plans have come apart
could not foresee this broken heart.

What choice if any, was left to me
for this is what, has come to be.

Alone I forge life anew
a life devoid, and missing you!

I seek relief of better days
to whisk away my gloomy haze.

Perhaps some sun, I might find
to brighten skies of troubled mind.

One day the sun will shine again for you. Grief can be a lonely journey which you have depicted well.
