I AM WHO I AM

I DON'T PRETEND TO BE SOMEONE ELSE, AND I DON'T WANT TO BE SOMEONE ELSE. I AM ME.

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.

MY FACE, MY BODY, MY CARISMA, MY TALENTS, AND MY HEART, ALL MAKE ME WHO I AM.

I AM WHO I AM.

What You See Is What You Get

I never said I was pretty.
I never said I was cool.
I never said I was perfect.
I never said I was anything but what I am.
I have no reason to lie.
I have nothing to hide.
What you see is what you get.
Take it or leave it.

What You See

What you see is what you get,
But what you don't see, you don't get.
Because, you see, I have worked very
Long and hard at hiding it away.
I have built a wall in front of me,
But I am learning that it's just 'a' wall,
I can always walk around it.

Reflective Perspective (What You See Is What You Get)

What you see is what you get.

When I look in the mirror I see I’ve got it.
Perhaps I’ve got a bit too much of it.

I walk past a store I can see in the window
as he walks along with me he’s got it bad

I am comforted to know I’m not the only one

I love my third hand iPad
We have a lot in common
It can't handle updates for starters
Anything after 2013
Right after I turned 40
What you see is what you get
It's happy to be connected
Mid sentence looking something up
It will forget everything
When asked to do anything
It's sometimes just too much
And it shuts down

It has a few dents too

He loves action,wit few words
by example,his guidance heard,
a barnabas,he unfolds
encouragment,to be bold;
Strong-minded,solid some say,
stability,day-by-day,
reliability,his creed
to satisfy,family need;
Each day stepping outside the box
what you see,is what you get,
once encountered,none forget,
a boy,beneath it all
aged now,but standing tall.

Diamond In the Rough

I was not born with a silver spoon
Dressed in desiner cloths
Our lived in a fancy high rise in the sky
But iam a diamond in the rough
One of a king
There is no other copy
What you see is what you get
A rough out look on life
The raw deals and steals
Yet keeping the shine
Polishing off the out line layers
Worn and torn years
Waiting to be chosen
Taken home to be given
As a token of love

What You See

What you see is what you get
But what is
Is not
All it seems

And so we chase the rabbit
Round the tree
And down the hole
Searching for the other side

But the other side
Is just the mirror
Of this
Near shore

Still we seek
To grasp and hold
A precious something
That slips through our hands

As things continue
To appear
But just not
Like they appear

Proof

There isnt anymore I can give.
There isnt anymore I can prove.
What you see is what you get.
Love me or not...I dont care anymore.
I've been here through it all.
I've been there when no one else was.
I cant tell you what you mean to me.
I cant tell you what you do to me.
For what you see is what you get.
Every tear that falls is true.
Though you may think different.
It is proof that I care.
It is proof that I love.
It is proof that I want to be here.
