Der Nebel haengt in der Luft

It hangs in the air
like a wet blanket
muting the mystery
as if you could
clouding the reality
with vague images
your eyes strain to
make sense of the terrain
as you navigate your way
to fetch this mornings
mail....

Sad story
Wet ripples
Salty tears

Notice now
Weird and weary
Dreary drizzle

Bad weather
Freezing cold
Wet blanket

Insolvent ways
Dreamy distance
Tedious touch

Why bother?
Risk rapture
Fond textures

Wet Blanket
“Wet blankets, give them all”
Captain of flight X
ordered the crew
as he wrapped himself
with warm woolen blanket
When asked he said
“but this is a towel
used in bathrooms
if you want one
I give you time go get
from your homes”
coldness gnawed us
as captain snored
and dreamed
wet dreams
This is Africa airspace...

Premium Member Summer
Triple digit
temperatures
bake the
atmosphere while
wet blanket
humidity
embraces all
who venture out
on a Florida
summer's day.
A refreshing
dip in a cold
creek, lake or pool,
with a tall
glass of iced
tea or lemonade,
(perhaps even
 a nice cold beer)
to quench a
powerful thirst,
are treats to
be savored.
This is
summer.

Thunderstruck Sunshine
The clouds shook
A thick, black, very wet blanket out
In the Southeastern quadrant
Of the New Mexico firmament,
Complete with lightning
And growling, crackling,
Massive basso-profundo sound effects,
Inviting the sun to rest,
Take a load off,
Reeellaaaxxx!

Abrasively radiant,
Helios glared a brilliant, heated, passionate,
Steamy smile
Into the arid monsoon skies

And refused Storm’s invitation
To lie down and go to bed...

Dire Guilt
It fills my heart all day long
Sometimes I ask what have done wrong
What it is, I can’t deliver with my tongue

Most times I get them in my bed
They never sieze coming true my head
At times they act dead
When I behave like a nerd

Too much to think of
Before you wake up it already takes off
My greatest desire is to turn it off

How long would I fight with you
You work on the past and nothing new
Received enough wet blanket your time is dew...

A Thunderstorm
The rainclouds loom over the town Like a cold, grayish wet blanket That soon will unleash and rain down its wrathful torrent in buckets. I’ve seen this many times before- This quietude before the storm- A preface to what is in store: An incredible thunderstorm. Behold! The tempest has begun. Wind is blowing from the northeast Lightning bolts on the horizon The odor of ozone increased And as though it were timed, thunder Brought rain as I watched in wonder.
