Turn Of Events

Rainfall pulls the blinds,
on bouncy folk’s wild picnic,
vile thunder as wet blanket,
yet blindside sunburst’s,
so prompt relief augurs well,
for merry beanfest revived

Ominous dark cloud,
imagined plague, close peril,
might scupper gallant junket,
 but fleeting storm front,
heartens madcap daring poised,
to trailblaze gold rush frontiers

- Rain really has grey curtains ... (like the day we have today ) ... it's never a small shower ... when it starts raining it lasts for many days ... although I know many people miss the rain ... we have way too much - Have a sunny weekend, Howard :) - hugs

With your great pen and wonderful imagery, you make me see the scene live in this picnic. I hope it was a fictional tale, my friend, Howard. Thanks for sharing such a gem.

That would not be any fun to be a nice picnic and that kind of storm come upon a fun time so fast. Very descriptive work, Howard. Way to go. Sara K.
