Well, at least not on weekdays

Deliver me from evil

For those temptations on weekends...

Days of the Week
Weekdays

I like Mondays
it starts hopefully
Tuesdays
are a setback
then it goes
downhill
all the way
to bloody Sunday...

The Time For Change Has Come
Light pourinmg down from the sky
Indicates to us
That the dance of Maya
continues
Five weekdays
Only two days to work
The people are struggling
But there is hope on the horizon
Surely you know that
"The Time For Change Has Come"!...

Family Man
Family Man

Loves
his wife
and children
working weekdays
sacrificing his needs for theirs, willingly.

Repeatedly setting the examples
his children watch
learning how
to grow
up

Ghosts
We are the first dead in this house
Books in dysfunctional piles; debris,
Tins of old paint in the garage,
Airtight as the finish on bedroom doors.
A density of standing air,solemn
With the austerity of dried cornflowers.
Sour margarine on thin grey bread,
Old gruel of past weekdays, gone;
Children`s laughter in a bottle,
Too late, too cold, now not part of it....

Premium Member What's One To Do
What's one to do when right tight finances
prevent travel, tipping and hot ballroom dances?

What's one to do when bureaucracy’s failures
bind innocent hours of time seeking court's favor?

What's one to do when the men who seem sweet
are encumbered by narcissism, women or weed?

Meditation and prayer move when weekdays provoke...
Friday night hot bath, red wine, chill jams. Let's get soaked!...

Philosophical Poetry Week: Metaphysical Monday
Though I know not, how it is there
I can tell, what it is
Though I know not, why it is there
I can tell, what it is like

It, is Monday
Always first in weekdays
Usually last in favour
Manic is the bangles watchword

Born into the unknown routine
We sit and watch coffee stew
A day of beginning or
Merely repeating cycle?

How did this come to pass?
Why does it linger still?

In the bleak light of dawn
Cold coffee dregs hold no answers...

Invitation
Last night, candle night
Tonight, colourless sight
Diversity is a character of nature.

Tomorrow, may snow will melt
Day after tomorrow, may moonlight night
Hope for hope is a way of life!

Weekdays, busy in work
Weekend, make some fun
These are 7 days in a week.

Hue and cry, birth to die
Era to era, smile and shy
Peace for lovely world.

Come to me, hand with hand
All in a green circle
Let's go start for a peaceful world....

Suzanne
you picked me up at a currys in Beckenham
I liked your ear rings
We started our affair
you confessed to have addictions
if not tobacco then alcohol
and how you missed your chance at acting school
It seemed losing ran in streaks
Your father collected anchor butter
as you shot off to your Bayswater sub let
on weekdays
Going to say goodbye to Suzanne
the river flows
its summer but feels late autumn
The contention school is over
There's breath outside Beckenham...

Wednesday and Friday
In kindergarten, years ago,
Each day, upon my blouse,
My mother pinned a handkerchief
Before I left the house.

They weren’t meant to blow my nose,
Just there for decoration,
With printed names of weekdays
Worn in suitable rotation.

Amazingly, the Wednesday and
The Friday still exist,
Two items that, when cleaning house,
My mother must have missed.

So all this time, I’ve kept them,
Tucked away so they would last,
A tangible reminder
That connects me to my past....

A Necessity
Any means of transportation
like a car or a van in any way,
it’s important so to say,
an aid to travel; a great need.
As a missionary priest
it’s necessary to have -
a car which can be used
for mission work or apostolate
especially in places where –
there’s no access to transportation.
I’m grateful for having one
Cougar, its brand from Mercury
I use it for my ministry
On weekdays and weekends
It’s truly a great necessity
If I say mass or visit families
A car is needed,
like in my ministry....
