I once ate a hot enchilada
to warnings I said yada yada
they had rightly said
eat the mild instead
Next time I’ll order a tostada
(i confused with a haiku, this is 7,5,7 but i decided to post it anyway.)
Always thinking about him
ignoring warnings
rushing into love too fast
soft winter whispers
warnings of a cold dark night ~
deep solstice slumber

Heeding extreme hot weather warnings.
Dogs are seen tiptoeing on scorching asphalt.
Seeking a patch of grass.

Warnings
Dawnings
Yawnings
Mornings
Alarm clocks ring warnings, dawnings near.
Time to stop those yawnings, mornings here.

. Nomadic whispers
North winds speak to the great plains
Warnings of winter
A young, macho spider named Paul
Imagined himself ten feet tall.
At friend's warnings he sneezed--
Said he'd crawl where he pleased.
Now Paul's just a stain on the wall.
Nature brings no pain
Though she dishes warnings
Quietly with care
She does lavish us time
And stay the best of friends.

the blackmoor is wide and wet
cold and cruel
windswept
crows speak on the moor
of ancient and sacred
understandings
moorlanders hear warnings
upon the wind and
crows are prophets there
vulnerable seagull left behind
standing on sandy beach
staring at lopsided waves
listening to the warnings of the sea
where is your family?
I empathize, feeling alone myself
a comrade
The serpent coils
'fore he strikes
piercing hiss
sordid sway
~ fearsome bite
Paranoiacs

We all jumped in with our high fives
Slapping and popping and loving it
Then the pandemic came along
With lots of warnings
We do not care
We still meet and high five
and hug and live and love
statuto ry warnings on
to ba co al ca hol an
pro mis qui ty
they supply needles on
the street for safety
free co n doms
create artificial wars
where the sun is
set to sell their
rusty arms
Form:
The hours screamed
Fine warnings eclipsed
By the science that is
Her lovely masquerade
for no woman upon bended knee
have I fostered much passion
The love of my sexy nightmare
Breast of the famous queen
In traffic they go zooming in and out
not even indicating it at all.
When they make a lane change,
I Just want to shout,
“Just use your turn signal, you jerk.
One day you’ll hit somebody or a wall!”
A stubborn fly defied all the warnings
She followed the corpse all the mornings
On burial day she followed it down into the grave
While she thought herself nothing but brave
But ended up dead without earnings
No one believes unless Allah wishes and
He casts dirt of doubt on those who don’t understand!
Say, Behold all that is in the skies and earth
But neither signs nor warnings benefit those who believe not!
I heard an angry voice in a store one day.
Giving warnings and threats to her child in an angry way.
The voice kept going, without any follow through.
I felt sorry for the child, who had no idea what to do.
Signs flip, lights flash, bells sound
humming pollution rides past
“BREATHE” “DON’T BREATHE” warnings.
Tattered clothes hide the lives of panhandlers
erase their memories and ours.

Spring is the best time to play.
Outstanding performances don't go unnoticed.
Cards are used for warnings or send-offs.
Creativity is a key role.
Everyone participates on or off the field.
Referees are important.
