Nothing Remains

Chaotic romance.
Fearful dreams of war.
Lost in the river.
Wakeful spirit.
Chaotic storms.
Heavy snow falls.
Fate or chance?

Mother 1

Mother

Mother
Even in slumber
Wakeful care.

Insomnia

Another
Restlessly
Wakeful night

Thoughts keep on
Dusk till dawn
Sleep walking

Close my eyes
One more try
Oo, popcorn!

Good Night, Tonight

Now I lay me down, hopin' sleep...
Another wakeful day, I doubt can keep,
And if the Lord should call me home...
I only hope, he uses the telephone...

Wakeful Dream

icy fog blurs the ships,

back to a dream so warm

      he slips ...

      lips on

             steaming teacup, early sun

                   wakes the rooster up !

Blessed Are the Days Before Me

As I prepare to part with tired old ways,
       Feeling uplifted, to observe
            dawn's new days.
There's harmony in breathing precious moments ,
          wakeful contemplation...

Sleepwalk On Thunderstorm

Life wobbling in cacophony
Quietude niche deep within
State of 'I am' perceived
At the fork of enigma
Engagement with life you choose
Abysmal path of pain of being alone
Or golden trail of glory of blissful solitude
The wakeful sleepwalk on thunderstorm.

Time Lapse

Wakeful slumber
Rise and shine
Greet Nature Mother
Wink at Father Time
Advance to Go
Daily choices
Purposeful endeavors
Momentary miracles
Internal-I-zations
Thoughts abundant
Feelings adrift
Actions Aware
Consequential checkmate
Evolved emotions Exiled
Rich Resplendent Resolve
All's Well Within

Element Wind

The wakeful wind whistles
Winding wearily and watching all
Wafting silently whispering woes
Weightlessly whipping wisplike whacks
Wondrously wild when wrathful weather attacks
Wrecking and walloping worsening in time
Nature wilts whimpering wordlessly worried
The wind whirls and wrestles in wingless flight

Destitutions Curse

A wakeful man riding
Constant terminal dusk
Coveting dawns glow

Conqueror of rapacity
Constructing his empire
Of gold and silvers avarice

Feigning his thrill of life
So spuriously rehearsed
In his eyes they are trivialities

Only now he sees the truth
In the darkness of his sepulcher
Surrounded by his useless wealth

Echoes of Your Name

Down memory lane,
I waited in vain

For your sweet smile
To come even for a while.

But all that came then,
Was the whispering wind from heaven,

Blowing in a slow processing of light,
With echoes of your name in the darkling night.

Buzzing breeze breathing webs of cloud,
Shows wakeful sorrows clad in mournful shroud.

African Night

Mother of stars,
friend of the moon,
it is often quiet but for its own heartbeat?
the rhythmic sentence pronounced
in one benign-hammering syllable,
which pounds away hostile darkness
laid bare by the wakeful heavens
whose ears listen to tales from
old folks passed on to a glowing age,
and proverbs that leave one and all in awe.

Dad

I am your dad,
Hold my finger,
And learn to walk;
First few steps are arduous,
Hold my finger tight;
Life ahead is tough,
May have thorns,
May have bumpy terrain,
Be wakeful on each step you move;
Dad's hands always over your head,
As a brolly for shade;
In bad and tough times,
Follow you as shadow,
to keep you move;

Emblazoned

Rise Oh Sun! Your muted passage holds me possessed
In passing beams of brilliant poetic imagery obsessed
In the stream of dreams moving light to darkness to call
On this point of wakeful art where headlands rise and fall

Dreams Begin To Dim

Dreams begin to dim, fading
Light begins to show, invading
 Swirling into wakeful focus
Lavender, white, autumn crocus

Dusty lilac daybreak dawning
On this misty autumn morning
Merging into dreamlike wonder
Rousing to the sound of thunder

Clinging onto fading dreams
Dancing, golden sunshine beams
Lazily you start to swim
As mystic dreams begin to dim

Grampop's Hannah

Happy half moon hides half
       of happiness halfway high

Across a vast avalanche
       of silvery speck of sky

Nighttime neither nods nor sways
       to steal some wakeful sleep

Nature's new miracle mesmerizes,
       moves me deep

At the sight and touch of you,
       I pause, I smile, I sigh

Happier, yes, than the happiest
       half moon am I !

Hum Breath Yawn

Fields of spun gold silk somber auburn shades
Resonant a hum breath yawn against blades.
Wiff of cool air espy hush cries cascades
Dry in silence nature's quaint everglades.

Weft of rain lingers round as slow rhythm fades.
Mystique wakeful light of dawn serenades
While the warm sun rises, the bullfrog wades,
Small blue heron stand watch like waiting maids.

Coffee

the first one to drink it
is the rooster who crows
high in the mountains
where the coffee bean grows

a wakeful injection
a confection so brown
in a dark-coloured liquid
I daily do drown

to be wired and fired
and mired in glad
it's desired and I'm inspired
to never be sad

from cash crop bushes
high up in the Andes
the world's gone apeshit
for stimulant candies

Happy Half Moon For Hannah Marie

Happy half moon hides half
        of happiness halfway high

Across a vast avalanche
        of silvery specks of sky,

Nighttime neither nods nor sways
        to steal some wakeful sleep,

Nature's new miracle you are,
        moving, soothing me deep,

At the touch of your tiny fingers,
        I smile, I sigh,

Happier, yes, than the happiest
        half moon am I!

Father

FATHER

His sinewy hands as strong as lion’s
Hold close wobbly me like trellises
Wet sun shone through latticework mangled by harsh wind
In the stormy night we were soaked
Rain came down like maggots
I slept under his wakeful eyes.

Juice trickled from his tissues
My fingers awoke in contentment
To suck his rocky skin with my sisters
We felt like fireside cats.

He died fifty years old.

Dreams

Oh sleep,ye silent
stealing of all conscious
that slips thru our minds
to capture dreams
to bring forth inconsistencies
a blur of schemes
that my wakeful mind
has no thought of
oh!ye steal our rest
and plunge our deepest
thoughts into mind
alternating images
to take our sleep
and leave us as tho
we have run a marathon
ye rambling,rumbling,tumbling
bits of logic
where nothing exist.....

Lucid Lunatic

The moon waxes beneath
the sleepy shadow
of its own halo.

By the mirror lake
a lucid lunatic
waxes poetic.

There he listens and
sways to the tempo
and rhythm that go

with the tune of colors,
tints and hues
of the lunar rainbow.

These he alone sees
and hears in the night
with deepest delight.

He grins at the moon and
wakeful hours he can't keep,
crawls back to sleep!

Loving Dream

Most people fall asleep at night
And dream of fantasies delight;
Those spawned by wakeful malcontent
Of dreaded pasts and all they meant.
But when the light begins to dawn
Their dreams all vanish with a yawn.
My dreams are themes they are but two:
I dream of love and loving you;
And when I wake and wipe away
Besprinkled sand to start the day
I look around and here I see
The loving dream lies next to me.

My Significant Other

My significant other,
to our family
you are a magnificent mother.
You are closer to me
than my sister and my brother.
You're my ray of light
You're my friend and my lover.

And as I lay beside you
in my oh so wakeful state,
I don't want to fall asleep
Because my dreams are not this great.
I pray we'll spend
the rest of our days together
and In my heart my thoughts of you
are green for ever and ever.
