It's a Dog's Life

Such a silly, stupid dog
(Not nearly as smart as me)
You just grin and wag your tail
Refusing to face the fact
That life is complicated
Form: Verse

The Wag

A symphony escort named Brute
Was charging each man with no suit
He must have been witty
To dupe Maestro Smitty
He also made off with his lute

Premium Member See its Tail Wag

Even after a day of fun
Sunday night can be a drag

I’d like to see its tail wag

   all bubbly, perky, eager
   like a woodland beaver

Pet Peave

Small wonder I’m your master
You just grin and wag your tail
refusing to face the fact
that life is complicated
Such a STUPID dog...

The cold sun’s anemic arc,
skirts the day with crystal frill.
    Prancing just above the pines,
       sun dogs wag their tails.

Frogdog

I would rather be a frog ,

than a dog , you know ,

kiss me and i won't turn to wag my tail

I just won't become a prince

just the frog that i am

but not a dog

Groomed so wail to fetch her bones in hell

Norwegian Elkhound

Norwegian elkhounds, proud and bold,
With curly tails that wag like gold,
In forests deep, they roam and play,
Hunters of night, they stalk their prey,
In every heart, their love unfolds.

Each Word Often Occurred

Each Word Often Occurred

What I heard was God's voice in each word,
They all around happened and had occurred;
Wag dog tail;
Start to sail;
Also, heard Him each time when cats purred.

Wiggelly, Wiggelly Wag

Wiggelly, wiggelly wag,
a worm is in the bag;
squiggelly, squiggelly squoo,
and now I've counted two;
wiggelly, squiggelly dee,
another one is three!

Premium Member Nature on Display

On mild days in sun’s rays,
I relish observing Nature’s ways.
I watch squirrels playing tag
and puppies with tails that blithely wag.
Songbirds serenade from early to late.
My indoor chores will just have to wait!

Petting Time

I am a dog, a pup no longer
I huff and puff
just a push-over lover;
fuzzy and floppy
my soul a place for muddy paws
and sniffy tingles.
Your feline purrs
have groomed my hairs
and your belly rubs
are the best.
You wag me.

creativity and spontaneity
pulse of innate aliveness
unfettered by patterns
that shapes identity
in form containerised
since baton of awareness
is free from bondage to mind

ego plays spoilsport
if we let tail wag the dog

Be sure to stick that head out the windows of your life.
It's okay to bark but don't dare bite..
A roll in the mud brings a sensory delight..
Guard your family every day and every night..
Greet strangers with a wag and all your days will be bright.

Wag the Dog

We loved the movie
We enjoyed it…

It tells the truth about life
And it foretells it in advance…

With countries starting with an ‘A’:
Albania - Afganistan…

About Monica and Bill
And wars on terror just began…

And good new is:
It never ends!

The Day

they will wag
flags
walk in a band
for what we stand
 some where blue
too
this is usa world wide
with those by there side
who was there
still here to share
amake you aware
that it not for play or pay
it was a way to have your say
this is
THE DAY

Premium Member If no one seems to give a hoot about a poem you've written

If no one seems to give a hoot about a poem you've written,
try reading it out loud to your dog or to your kitten.
And if, as you read it, all the while,
you see their tails wag and their faces smile,
it was worthwhile ~
at least ~ from where they're sittin'.
