Rogue

A rogue
is one who fights and bends the rules
to never be controlled, but to take control
so that one can victoriously walk in freedom
while wearing a secret crown

Violence In Verdant Vales

After berserkers violated, nonviolent, virtuous, souls
residing in Ireland's verdant vales,
victims vented their intense disliking of the vile, vicious,
violent, vikings by valiantly fighting back victoriously.

The Resurrection

The tomb is empty now,
Jesus has risen from the dead.
He came forth victoriously,
Even as He, Himself has said.

“Destroy this temple and
in three days I’ll raise it again.”
He was not speaking of temples of stone,
But of His death and resurrection for man.

My Dog

The dog runs through the grass,
Chasing,
Pursuing,
Hoping to catch what was thrown.
In triumph, it catches the object,
Chomping down victoriously.
Suddenly, its brows furrow,
And spits out its spoils.
Questioningly, it looks at you,
Wondering why you threw a lemon.

Truth Sets Free

Truth unchains* through God's Word… …from grip of doubts… ---freed! Truth settles God’s children victoriously…. Faith!

I Cannot Touch Your Silence

i cannot touch your silence.
you are in a darkness
only you can know.
for there are battles
only you can fight,
unarmed,
unarmored.

i can only watch by the battleside
mutedly helpless,
hoping i can cheer in triumph
as your banner floats
victoriously by.

To Dispel Loneliness

unwanted, he covertly creeps into my thoughts
lest, to his disdain, unwitting smiles might escape
hope’s thief demands his own satisfaction
abandons me to wither in vain love’s desert
mock him I do when rising spirit permits happiness
control’s power victoriously beats within

Sunday Morning

The devil and his demons
The rulers and the unbelievers

They felt triumphant on Friday
Death shouted victoriously on Friday

But they forgot that Sunday was coming
They rested and observed the Sabbath on Saturday

But life broke forth
Life changed the world

Life altered history forever
when in came Sunday morning

Klaatu Barada Nikto

Klaatu Barada Nikto. If that is how it's done, then so it will be done. I now lift my hand and will be gone. So movingly inside this single one, existence fought nullification, and amazingly, victoriously, won, that day Earth lived on. Klaatu Barada Nikto *** April 30, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Incubus

Incubus

His icy fingers perform a slow staccato on my tense limbs
Enveloped by a deathly chill
Still I lye on the table in this lair
Strapped down
Locked in

Putrid and stale, breath deep
Inhaling my fear with desire
Hearing his feet dragging beside me
Can’t fight him
Won’t win

Of the capture I have no recollection
No fight left in me for how to escape
The monster has hunted victoriously
He has his prey
He will sin

Summer Sounds

Summer sounds of children laughing,
chasing balls and happy running,
waves dancing on the shore,
tempting little feet to jump with joy
while bold sand castles stand victoriously
until they are swept away by the sea,
blankets spread on golden beaches,
holding sunbathers caressed by summer music
who are grasping minute thoughts of yesterday
of nameless faces of past friends and songs
they sang together-----all part of summer
sounds of long ago.

Valentine1(06)

Value of love cannot be written in a single word.
A sentence will not truly pay homage toward,
Letting complete feelings be shown undeniably.
Even not a paragraph may allow it victoriously.
Novels may deliver a small detail of my fancy.
Telling in words will be believable for just a spell.
Indefinite knowledge of this must grow from infancy.
Never faulting, never delaying, and continuing to swell,
Effulgence of our passions with focus on eternal intimacy.

Settled In God's Love

In God’s love*, I’m victoriously settled Safely handled by His compassion Against deceiving schemes causing downfalls… Thus, I yield to Him, serenely joyous. With the Almighty’s care is service-might Prodding me forward in my stewardship To bear fruits of sacrificial fervor… Blessed by His grace in prayer-fellowship.

Victorious Freedom

Freedom God-granted Genuinely gracious Through Christ’s ransom for my soul Setting me free from sin's wages assuredly Condemned not I to suffer eternal punishment. Now acquitted to live by God’s wondrous grace Forgiven* victoriously Indeed heaven-bound To serve Him I should. Cognizant of my divinely paid freedom, I lead others to God’s liberty.
*Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. May 18, 2019
