Wild and free and on the road. (hitch hiking) I didn't feel it until I saw a couple walking in the park holding hands. Very sad, emotions brought back by your eloquent words, make me feel so lucky to be in a better place now. As always, profound and well written!.....................pat

Hi Carolyn, loneliness is a terrible thing. I can relate to this emotion very much. You have caught the heart of the emotion in your words. In a room full of people I can still feel the loneliness. You have certainly captured the emotion. I just smile and go on. Wishing you all the best in the contest. A Fave. Have a wonderful Monday. Hugs....Mike. XX

Every line in your poem spells emotion. A powerful write..victorious within. Much enjoyed the intensity, as in:hope’s thief demands his own satisfaction..and ..mock him I do when rising spirit permits happiness. Best for a win, Carolyn.

I believe you captured the emotions perfectly... Loneliness can sneak in at anytime and sometimes regardless of how many people are around us, we still feel so lonely....

My Aunt Eva used to tell me to smile and soon I'd find happiness again. What you say about feeling loneliness when surrounded by people is so true, Silent One. Thanks for reading!
