Proximity
Picked a seat right next to you
repulsed by the mere inches
obstructing me from a touch;
X marks the spot,
invade my fragile bubble;
Make me a little bit nervous,
invite me to snuggle;
Together is so much better,
your vibe a soft velour blanket....

Artist, This Is a Spring Landscape
Spring.
The grass
oh so green
grows on the field.
A carpet on the land
resembles green velour.
A blue sky hovers over.
A yellow sun illuminates.
A few white clouds drift quite demurely.
Artist, now’s the time to spread your canvas.

Maypole
Painted sky cascades down to touch
a green velour carpet.
Green Man asks for a dance and an elated crowd
engages the maypole.
As young leaves stretch tips to grasp sunlight
newly birthed buds yawn.
Gaia beams with pride;
another birthday for her children brings boundless joy....

Smother Me Or Just Like You
You speak without words,
talk slowly, with fingertips
gorging on my soul;
As you strum I start to hum
sighing ever so sweetly;
Diabolical,
your anger excited me;
A moth to a flame,
ecstasy a brief smother
with that dark velour blanket;
Empty, crying out
my sound quiets the silence;
Subdues the restlessness
over and over again;
Now you know I’m a psycho.
Just like you ....

American Pride
***AMERICAN PRIDE***
Hurry hurry, dress your best!
Wear your soft velour vest!
You must be ready to go
And thank God you are an American, you know.
Let other countries laugh and chortle.
Like us, they are just mere mortals!
There is one ruler on this earth.
He laughs at our pompousness with mirth.
He has the last call, not us!
God only decides who will ride heaven's bus!

Golden Chamber
Clouded mist,as slender fingertips
descend in it's haze and blaze of colours,
with multiple sparkles,as rainbow streams dipped
lifted upward to a carousel soft as velour,
earlier prepared for this match at the hip
joined by the heart in this lofty hour,
tasting such love in slow deliberate sips
from branches of special fruit and flowers...
Golden meadows opened with a golden key,
as the heavenly chamber is where we want... to be

Sins
Ashamed to avow my sins,
A burden mine alone to bear,
Broken beyond repair,
Baptized in gold to fill the cracks,
Restless nights, Velour gowns turning to sacks
No amount of gold brings relief,
Debased by lies and deceit,
Beg for forgiveness,
And you shall be forgiven,
He, who knows all, saw underneath my veneer,
A pain, a woe played for deaf ears,
I beseech my lord to forgive my misdeeds abhorred,
Let my midnight scribble turn into beautiful word....

Imprison Me
Beware the dark of azure twilight
where lightning's arc will lure the sprite,
their wings, so stark, like velour midnight,
fair creature's that mark the allure of starlight.
Share thy tongue sweet lark in pure delight.
There, where spark of amour and passions ignite,
fair, the heart will embark on seas of obscure rite;
ensnare me, oh Plutarch, immure my soul with your insight.

La Rosa
Velour petals of ruby red
scent of perfume upon the air;
visions swim inside my head
a cascading vine of roses fair.
Imbued with grace of angels
defense against wilder strangers;
Blossom of heaven’s honey-dew
smoother than the finest fondue.
A plethora of colors bold
live within La Rosas fold;
breath of ambrosia, heaven sent
frees the path to contentment.
