American Pride

***AMERICAN PRIDE***

Hurry hurry, dress your best!
Wear your soft velour vest!

You must be ready to go
And thank God you are an American, you know.

Let other countries laugh and chortle.
Like us, they are just mere mortals!

There is one ruler on this earth.
He laughs at our pompousness with  mirth.

He has the last call, not us!
God only decides who will ride heaven's bus!

You got that right, Pangie! We mere mortals had best shape up or we'll miss the bus! Another delightful write. Bob

So true, there are going to be many who will get a shock when they're left standing at the bus stop. They've had enough warnings. Tom

I know! Going to be p,enty crowded, oh my. I hear even some church goers and preachers. It's God's choice, as I said... Loving others, not lying, help. I was taught God sees all I do. This includes my Pietry, which was a gift from him...still at home. Pangie xx
