I did learn at an early age that girls
can leave our lives
In varying lengths of time.
This interval can from a drink
to years
or even over the length
it takes to have dinner.
One week was Summer Camp
When I was eight.
Happiness or sadness.
It is giving more than you can
No intention to receive
Trust, honesty, caring
Tokens
Are given to measure
But nothing can truly measure.
Compromise yet sacrifice
Different levels
Different stages
Constantly varying
I can write poems on the sky
By my imagination's eye;
Pray for the pretty words to say;
They always come and fade away.
As I eat thoughts like bananas,
Asian fruit and chimichangas,
The words just spill from inside me,
Free and varying in degree.
A potter kneaded galaxies into shape
slapped on a thin layer of gravitational glaze
baked them in star ovens of varying degrees
lay sparkle to planet skin so all could see
lay sheen on the dream so dreamers could dream.
The potter's wheel eternally spinning.
My soul wanders like a cloud
Across the vast and endless skies,
Crossing infinite ages
Towards where divinity lies;
Varying in shape and colour
It emerges through every test,
Wish and perception changing
In its endless spirited quest!

Rhododendron poof
and purple fumes fill my world
Lavish, rich nature.
Maroon like the dawn of days
greeting the sun's honey glaze.
Saffron finch descends
to join the elegant crowd
vast and varying
in colors of the rainbow
that keep me at the window.
If you ever need a friend
I will be here till the end
Day or night it doesn't matter
Go ahead I'll let you splatter
All your heartache out on me
You will never have to be
Afraid that I will ever go
Theres something you need to know
I am faithful varying true
And will never dessert you
As I explained the nuances and intricacies of poetry and the limitations of its many forms and varying interpretations of each its spellcheque grammar and punctuation alarms flashed red as its faux eyes rolled back in its molded metal mind ball it crushed the keyboard

Forming ourselves and

A pervading light
Varying only by form..
We look for the bender
Without success and may
Conclude the Bender and
The bent are One
The One we are..
This Light-bending show
This Happening now...
Love is lost within the world
Anger flares in light of misconceptions
Sadness comes and sees its flag unfurled
Feeding itself on varying perceptions
This poem was written for my by another poet. I thought to finally share it. Check out Syd Floyd for more of his poems. Afraid it has no name.
Three pedal pushers, pushed past,
mom, daughter, grand
icons of fashions.
Forms formed by the dictates of passion.
Hair cropped, brows plucked,
rural New England’s answer to
Dolly Parton.
Scooped necked and corseted
varying little from teen-queen to matriarch;
only the wrinkles told the tale.
Magenta buds wait their turn on birch trees stately
while cedars' spines soar skyward so straightly
Barren branches of oaks sans customary green
yet shiver while down low tulips blossom and preen
Spring shows off her wares at varying stages
a coloring book for adults of all ages
Opportunities come in varying disguises
Chances missed always causes disgusts
Nevertheless, time always is evolving.
The wheel can't be reinvented but requires
improving
Too Many Too Late. Time and chance has passed.
The next generation will seize the moment that is paused.

A room of colours,
Hanging balls in varying shades,
Tapestry and artistry,
Drapes and balloons,
Hue and beauty,
Balloons floating in the atmosphere,
Children running with them in pairs and trios,
Elastic bags pumped with air,
Elastic bags pumped with helium,
An aura of colours.

To write of her is effortless
The words they flow with ease
My heart poured out on paper
In varying degrees
Some are lilting love songs
As gentle as a breeze
While some tempestuous snowstorms
So passionate are these
But all are meant for someone
I only want to please
Whose smile is the cat's meow
The lady overseas
I sit here staring at a ring I bought today
A silly ring made of butterflies
It is to tell your mood
The colors are ever varying
but never seem to tell the truth
How can such a ring
be right when the colors say one thing
and my heart another
Which is the real feeling and which is the fake
Maybe I should just give it away
Why?
It really shouldn’t be
There is any reason.
With things so close
So very personal,
All should be like crystal
But for the very same reasons,
Often times, things are, almost and at varying times,
Like polar opposites
We have to realize that it’s okay to see with our hearts,
Without completely becoming blinded by our minds……
