Obesity
Those candies hiding in your valise
say your diet long since lost its lease.
So, chew on those Reeses;
chomp whatever pleases.
You've got more that I can love obese....

Vintage Pain
aged valise
in field of ferns,
burlap coat
to shield love’s pain-
vintage tote
reveals its past,
hoping to find youth again

Spider's Purse - Attache Case
Survey as artist drafts her masterpiece,
enclosing space invisibly across.
Then single-handedly, she will increase
the center parts to form unseen valise.

A Wall I Paint For My Baby
a wall I am about to face
I do not tag with hatred
should I take the plane
to bring to a billet
what is that and with cans
in my valise I will travel
will they let me take the plane
to deface the wall in Sabadell
the love in me to stay i may be left in in airport
in those day of terror
and what to expect from an old lady
but a cuddle or two...

Pedal-Pushers
My aunt complained, “It’s cold down here!”
(In Florida, she meant.)
The shorts she wears against the chill
Would not have made a dent.
“Put on some pants,” I told her
But she found what’s in-between
And so her pedal-pushers,
Not Capris, have made the scene.
It’s nice to hear the lingo
From the past get a new lease.
I wonder if those pedal-pushers
Live in her valise....

Spider's Purse
a dizain
Admire her casting, lines of silky floss;
survey as artist drafts her masterpiece.
Enclosing space invisibly across,
then single-handedly, she will increase
the center parts to form unseen valise.
A purse of unsuspected, vicious taint -
its straps in hand, she naps - a wily feint.
Artistic beauty flows, but will soon ebb,
when tender insects clutter her restraint.
Artiste awakes to wealth within her web.
