Wal-Mart

It is where you shop

everything is up for grabs

time everlasting

low prices are the key there

Sam knew what we all wanted

Premium Member Trying To Update Alice

A revised version of Alice was up for grabs in the clutches of my mind.
With a wizened worldly white rabbit, drinking mushroom tea of a new kind.
I began plotting and scheming a plot that would flabbergast, awe and bind.
The others editors had no imagination, so I finally said “Oh, never mind!”

The Truth On Trial

The Doctor and aspiring Judge
their facts now up for grabs

Agendas twisted, the world at stake
   neoclassic power grab

Memories scarce and memories bent
  all truth behind the lines

With punches far below the belt
  —and justice ill defined

Trump Should Surely Pay Price

Trump Should Surely Pay Price

Trump should surely pay the price,
For poor behavior and not being nice;
When we meet,
Idiot complete;
To solve problem, what should suffice?

I am up for grabs. When is his behavior
completely illegal as opposed to not being
recommended? Trump has turned into a
legal nightmare.

Tango

He knows
how family is a war zone,
strut meets
counterstrut.

Leaving and not
leaving soon enough,
the soft and warm
up for grabs.

He knows how life is war,
how sweet is victory
and how permanent and
devastating is defeat.

Love is the prize
and always has been.
Those outcast can only
squeeze tight to
hold themselves in.

A Sunny 4th of July

Sadly, I have been forsaken;
Every shady bench is taken.
Sunny spots are up for grabs.
I sit down while keeping tabs
On nearby seats which are in shade,
With odds against me, I’m afraid.

Still, there is a little breeze
Provided by surrounding trees.
Boats upon the river glide;
I am glad to be outside.
Fireworks tonight I’ll see
Indoors, on screen, with cool a/c.

A Pot of Crabs

In many ways, Are We like a pot of crabs
With Us, Always, reaching up for grabs
Like We intend to keep Each other down
As with Slavery, in Our predicament-bound
Which is why, Everytime, We rise to the top
Are We distracted by the sound of a POP!
Indicating, how DRAMA, is at it's boiling point
And, that SOMEBODY's about to leave this joint
Cause that's Our way of maintaining EQUALITY
Even if it means, We're All Living In Misery

Premium Member Game Show Question

Canine, incisor, molar to.
What are all three? I’m looking at you.
One hundred thousand dollars up for grabs
Ellen is waiting showing her abs
Dogs teeth, teeth dogs, dogs the woman guesses.
Man gets a chance to steal. Dogs? He professes.
That’s great! His wife yells, happy as a lark.
Great in what world? All three in the dark.
It is teeth, Ellen announces. The audience laughs.
Everyone else there sees both contestants are daft.

Std

If you want my ex girlfriend, she's up for grabs.
But if you sleep with her, you will get the Crabs.
It's possible that you may get Herpes too.
Sleeping with her is a stupid thing to do.
I caught her in bed with my cousin and I thumped her.
She sleeps with a lot of men, that's why I dumped her.
I'm giving you valuable advice so you'd better listen to me.
If you seduce my ex girlfriend, you are sure to get an STD.

Nagging

Nagging
Author Dana Redricks
December 05, 2014

Your words they are sharp,
And my head is pounding
As if it was about to split apart;
Every time you speak you break
My heart.
Never anything positive your
Words are filled with poison venom.
You’re like a viper trying to swipe
Every ounce of joy that I have, but
My joy you cannot have; my soul is
Not up for grabs.
My life is precious; valued more
More than every jewel.
Every day for me is a moment of renewal.

Premium Member Puppy Wants That Cookie

I think about eating a cookie
It’s not mine; it is theirs.
But I had no breakfast, so lookie….
It's up for grabs on the top of the stairs.

Old dog yelps, “don’t do it, Pup!”
This aged geezer never fills up my confidence cup.
I leave the cookie and army of ants move in.
Now may I have it? I yelp with a grin.

Mama of the house picks it up in a dustpan.
I will never listen again to this old man.
It’s gone now, in the garbage can.
I howl the night away, annoying this old man.
