Hear Then Speak

Hear,
Before speaking the words
Unwritten

Speak,
After writing the words
Unheard

(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2014)

Breeding of Poetry

indisputable... !
unwritten verses,
lost verses,
unpaired,
are children
unfertilized
that we will not generate
the same... !

Ode to the legs silky and long,
Beautiful as an unwritten song
Sleek, slender, and milky white
In my dreams through the night

Let us play our unwritten song
Let us mix our right and our wrong
Let us merge our internal weather
Let us blend our poem together

A Quiet American

Hear…
before speaking the words
unwritten

Speak…
after writing the words
unheard

(Hotel Majestic Saigon, Vietnam: January, 2014)

Forever Bitten

Eyes ablaze
With stories unwritten
Filled with love
That keeps hearts smitten
Gasping
Entranced
In awe
For the soul from which he's bitten

Kathy Collins had some poems
They all stood in her head
Her tome got bloated
so off she floated
to the comfort of her bed.

Premium Member Twenty Five Word Poem

I tried to write a mini verse
with twenty five words.
Ideas rushed for poetic expression.
Counting words made tension rise,
left the poem unwritten.

Silence

Unspoken words linger on my mind. Silence cried a river of tears Perhaps those are unwritten words ought to be read in everyone's hearts.

Trees

" Despite its deep roots after its been cut down,
the unwritten dirge of a life giving tree, is bound to the wisdom of its rings from where it's fallen. "

woven
        words
fabrcated,
degenerate
     as
         driftwood-
sodden
stained
weaving
wavering
         silent
         shadows
foredoomed,
lost
in
the infinite

Poet's Pen

The world unknowing, worsened when
In silence sits the poet's pen
What worth have words unwritten then
While fury fills the minds of men

Tides

As the tides roll in off the sea
Erased are the days memories
In sand many poems were written
Epithets sketched in bare feet-
Reading the unwritten-
Under the shade of fading willow tree

A Writer's Scream

The lighted gateway to the spirits of other men waits,

Ever facing the inner demons that dwell in the writer's heart,

Screaming unheard by others, for words still left unwritten.

I
Can
Deadpan
Take more than
Any other man
This will be my unwritten plan
Continuing to take silence time and time again
From the most beautiful woman
Till I'm an old man
Madman
Can
I

Unwritten

The poem unwritten
Is like an unborn child
Asleep in some subconscious abyss
Never to lament in sorrow
Nor laugh with joy
Never to reach out
And touch others
Never to reach up
And touch the stars

Controlled by unwritten laws

Premium Member Poet Dead

Here lies the poet, who had bored you the most,
Keeping you awake, he did his wisdom boast;
Do not think, he has gone away, as he's dead,
His unwritten verses are in your bedspread...

Unwritten Rules In the 1970's

Ladies don't go into bars
Ladies don't go into service stations, nor parts stores nor tire stores.
Ladies don't go to war.

We've come a long way BABY!

They are sending us to the front lines!! Yikes!!

Three Senryu

Senryu
The unwritten
Is a dream not yet awake
A soundless slumber

Senryu
Breaths of the unsaid
Hangs on an autumnal tree
Waiting for the wind

Saying
Silence is
The continuations
Of what was not said

The Stupid-Jews

There we are--
Lost-- all of us--
No longer able to speak that unwritten language--
Sentenced to camps and environments unknown--
We are the stupid-Jews.

Take Flight

"Live each day as if it is a new beginning, a score unwritten or ballerina's first dance. Take flight in life, do not
stand and wait for someone to live for you. A person's happiness is of their own creation."

Not Right

An unwritten letter,
An unfinished fight.
Something is wrong,
Or nothing is right.

A low-graded essay,
An 'F' overall.
Nothing done properly,
Or not done at all.
