He Still Loves Me

He kissed me, despite how I tend to be so disgusting.
He embraced me, despite how I am so undeserving.
He said to me he loves me, despite how I am so untrusting.

Suicide Prevention: Pruned Not Severed

Half winged images
hopeless
of flight
believing
insufficient
to bestow
delight
Fluttering in shadows
reluctance
to fly
disgraced
and shameful
reticent
to try
Hesitant to soar
averse
to fail
distraught
and untrusting
of what
may avail
Pruned not severed
capable
of aviation
when joined
together
and merely lifted
from isolation

The Watcher

I feel eyes watching me before I notice the woman across the room.
I try not to stare, but she does not seem to mind.
We are in the library, the only two here.

Her caramel eyes are pensive, wary.
She is hypervigilant, unhurried, unpressured.
I smile but she does not reciprocate.

I think of her as the watcher
wondering what has caused her
to develop and hone
this kind of untrusting awareness.

Love the Unlovable

love the unlovable,
when its time to let go,do not cry.
loosen you grip, divide the fingers,
and wish them well
for you were the only person who opened your
cold bones to the untrusting thrones
of the unknown.
giving so unselfishly,
while wishing them the best
while on this cold,
not in your control journey
you fed them the best knowelege
know watch them walk away
no thank you's,no hugs,
love the unlovable

Untrusting

Untrusting Miracle Man 8-27-2023 A beautiful face or well known name, will endorse a product using their fame. Many assume that means it’s better made, but the raw truth is they’re getting paid. Most of the merchandise they’ve never tried, and to the consumer they’ve flat out lied. While they’re getting richer others get by, but the spiel goes on, and it’s buy, buy, buy. “There’s a sucker born every minute” P.T.Barnum

Questions

Why do you look at me untrusting so?
Is there something I should know?
Who are you to judge me, here?
Should I really express this fear?

Why do you continue leering?
When I’m gone, are you jeering
Over many things I may have done?
To judge me, are you the one?

Cast not ever, evil aspersions.
Dare not ever make bad assertions.
Lest you be judged in the minds
By those with nothing good to find.

So, judge not others, ever each day
Treat them as yourself, in every way.

Death of Tears

Unfettered passions congeal with confusion
each night as in darkness, my mind's journey roams
depths of desire, deviant and untrusting
leaving me despair.

Twisting tourniquets ever-tightening grip
as urges of fantasy relieve torment
in tranquil pools of obsession, life falters
yet intensely grows.

Weeping rivers cast onto downy cushions
meet their demise in sonant voiced billowed plumes
that cosset my fatigued head with caresses
of indulgent dreams.
