My Ideals are Gone

I persevered, ‘My ideals are gone’
        Life mocked me, NO! –

    ‘Ideals’ untested in reality’s crucible
        are worthless, unusable

Covid

United Kingdom
running behind in the tall grass
like a mongoose slithering for a cobra
The untested came into the care homes
No mind
we've battered down the hatches
We should be normal
Back to normal soon

Give Them a Little Time

      soft and spoiled
         devices well-oiled

      spoonfed babble
         in protests, they dabble

      convictions untested
         by reality bested

      today’s mudslingers ~
         tomorrow’s right-wingers

The Marching Poseur

Soft marches
spawn bravado
and cavalier soldier
He who scoffs
at distant gunfire
to meet its fury
Untested untried
untempered
his blade of little worth
As conflict preys
on the folly
— of the paper lion

Ounce of Prevention

The lady robot doesn’t take
Her birth controlling pill,
She knows it could be one mistake…
Untested drugs can kill.

She doesn’t want a deformed child,
With gears and wheels all out of place,
Or with three metal mouths that smiled
Upon its baby face.

Development Divergence

Requirements customer-driven, tested satisfying, verifying, validating deliveries, happy management, follow-ons, happy customers improving, optimizing, delaying developer-driven, untested features
---------- yeah, so this is pretty poor, imho. gonna have to do better!

Harvest

Tithing untested talents to tyrants;
Heaving hearts and minds in Humpty dumpsters
With vibrant energy and emotional overload,
As sensible as armadillos playing on a road,
To forge a Nirvana from breathless life.

Maunder not over permanent silence:
So, what are a few children, more or less?
Let not debate impede virtue’s progress:
Free speech is Utopia's enema!

Stay Safe

Calling all cars! Calling all cars! Be
On the look out for the invisible, the untested.
Resume suspicion of all surfaces.
Our hands like precious china.
Nevermind the irony,
Act vigilant, cautious, enclosed.
Verify the whereabouts of your fingers.
Interrogate your face.
Render all humans and objects a possible threat.
Underestimation will nationally behoove us.
Stay safe.

A New World Order

The novelty of it all
A mutant virus here
The medics they call
Hoping to stem the fear

A mutant virus here
Epidemiologists ponder
Treatment is so dear
In hospitals here or yonder

Epidemiologists ponder
Wave after wave of spikes
More fear in countries yonder
Elites here, in worry say, "Crikes"

Wave after wave of spikes
Cases and positive tests
Untested vaccines become our likes
In them all our hope rests

To Turn My Soul

To turn my soul a feet untested unless by god who gives no guesses.
To turn my soul From black to white but other colors would be alright like
gold or silver, red or blue, or the colors of the English rose a scarlet
Blaze of lovers cloves.
To turn my soul to to ungrateful passion a worse fate then any once told to truth of all i
rather be bold.
To turn my soul would be a crime for only god can cast this shepherds mind.

Dreaming of You

The dawning of an untested day
forthwith descends into view
Afflicted dreams all night
belonging only to you

Your soft responsive sass
and the experience of your velvety skin
The manner in which we finish
and the avenue we begin

I love your dulcet allude
and how you caress
Your erotic homecoming
and the way you undress

I get lost in your eyes
never wanting to go
You're the woman of my dreams
and my love for you grows

Willow 2

Willows whisper gratitude,
drooping branches sway,
they augur summers of serenity
and winters of decay.

Images of grace, gently shivering
in rains of sweet intent,
they burgeon like a testament
fulfilled and immanent.

Softly ornamenting
with their sprawls of elegance,
they pose like seasoned lovers
who have earned their permanence.

Sprightly dancing limbs of fancy,
mighty yet demure,
they signify endurance
for those untested and unsure.

Living a Life in Someone's Honor

Unsettled conversation
in a backyard
filled with untested solutions

On the surface,
he extinguishes the only guiding light they had to share
Now he faces them, headstrong
“Fear not my only children
mistreated souls will always venture on”

In a backyard
filled with untested solutions
holds an unsettled conversation,
lacking mediation

Forgive me father,
how could I rise to occasion
without a compass in my hand,
begging for exploration?

Ripples of the Past

Old memories visit in my twilight,
Rebukes from a time when strength was mine,
When the future lay unfolded before me,
Unconfined and untested.

Now, thoughts flow slowly,
like a river frozen in time,
The current stilled by the weight of years.
Lulled in the night, I will fly fish for

Memories darting like trout in an icy stream,
Glimmering beneath the surface, swift and bright,
Caught in the moment, then slipping free,
Leaving ripples of the past in their wake.

The Butterfly

In my cocoon
I am safe
Here, it is warm, dark,
Quiet.

But the darkness suffocates.
The quiet of my world
Becomes a tormenting din,
The warmth, cloying.

Untested wings beat against
The walls of my prison.
Eager to escape captivity,
Longing to let light
Pierce the murkiness.
It is time to crawl out
And feel the sun!

Boldly, my proud wings open
As I take flight and reach my potential.
A kaleidoscope of colors
Glinting against the brilliant blue sky,
I am a butterfly.
