Fickle moods
swing
skewing the cornerstones
of poetic view
like a ball of string
poets try
untangling
knotted questions
to find answers
which give meaning
to beliefs

Night
unpins
her dark hair
untangling stars
as Dusk sets the Sun
down in the Sea
She'll comb it
while he
sleeps...

Ninette
combing my unkempt hair
unraveling years of not caring
my freedom knotted with reckless abandon
untangling each strand of dissatisfaction
cutting as curls fall away
each length a strand of injured time

Twisted faith yields no mercy.
Blood makes the Devil thirsty.
And just as Lucifer once fell,
Man created his own hell,
While jumping slightly at the sound of a bell.
In the distance the church sings,
Bringing peace, the bell rings,
Untangling the harp strings,
And with it mending the angel’s broken wings.

Enclosed Rhyme
Ambient noise, the silent song of day,
TV static, and this high pitched ring.
Creating a vision through bloodshot eyes,
A vacant gaze meeting solemn void's stare.
Dreaming those vivid details as they play,
Savoring each moment and bitter sting.
Knotting and untangling all the ties,
From disposable camera that we share.

'Tis that time again to bedeck the tree with decorations!
Untangling the string of lights is one of my annual frustrations!
Naughty words are said but when all is said and done, you'll,
Happily declare that sans a Christmas tree it wouldn't be a Yule!

Uncoloured
Untailored
Unzipped
Untied
Unmasked
Untangled
I am unidentified, for no-one can claim to know the depth of my well.
I am no coloured frame of happiness.
I am no tailored garment.
I am not a zipped up pants
I am not a perfectly tied up ponytail.
I am masked with flaws yes.
I am untangling myself from a deeper web.
I am too uncoloured to fit.

Lyric
Baggage within
trappings of illusions,
love packed away
in neat little compartments
gathering cobwebs at
makeshift improvisations,
dusting intermittently
if by chance a light
should shine,
never wholly untangling
the snare
mid a labyrinth of
transparent entrapment,
as violin strings continue
to unlatch the same old key

Light Verse
When I awake in the morning
The sun shining in your sweet face
Smelling your pure sweet woman musk
Untangling from your clinging arms
Running my hands through your dark hair
Looking close at your fine mustache
My elbow knocks a Champagne glass
The sound of the cheap flute breaking
Stirs your celluloid bubbled tail
Good morning my sweet Vegas love

Secret Battles—Silent Wars
Telling my secret battles
Celebrating the untold wars
Unfolding my choicest memories
Surfing the virgin’s pathways
Rhyming sacred hymns
Recalling stolen graces
Unveiling the hidden shadows
Parting the puffy clouds
Unmasking the hidden faces
Untangling woven phases
Quelling our sumptuous yearnings
Quieting every inner wailing
Quailing at the broken words
Stoking my ethereal flame
