Placeholders

Placeholders for

The word not said

And unsayable:

Nothing

Beloved

Everything

This

Not 2

And so on..

Placeholders without

A place to hold...

Improvisations

images of self
                    portraits of people
the unsayable
                         said-
tracing the why's
                      and wherefors
from the most
                   to the least
the eye in motion
                       released

Black Words Unsayable

The mind masked civil
Spins strands of black words
The voice can’t weave the phrase
Lest the veil lifts from the tarnished face.
If you say what you hide in the dark
I’ll turn it into black rose.
Do you hate me?

Grief Unsayable

They scream a soundless soliloquy,
skeletal sentinels contorted,
once proud standards displaying jubilant banners.
The tidal push rushes in, out, in, out
about ashen bones,
marking where moorings anchored
before life swept away to sea.

Broken Unsayable

a strange world after life in the womb eager to grow , curious to see, running on energy the bell tolls as the pages turn battered by weather and wrinkled broken teeth, broken heart, deaf ears, soul all unrecognizable Growing old broken! 11/23/2017

Sadness Unsayable

A sad hole of darkness

my constant companion since childhood

walks with empty hands of why

on its lonely road, where my soul cries

this sparrow sits and bends its head down

in quiet disbelief, to face unwelcomed rain

as the days rush by in a shadowed black

Melancholy Unsayable

When summer falls away,
I find myself beneath a bending willow.
Inside myself, I'm weeping along with it
as its supple limbs tremble in September's wind.

A harvest moon appears as if to mock the sun,
a sun which not so long ago had shone profoundly.
The willow's branches sweep the shadows of fleeting days.
I shiver in the gloaming.

Unsayable Things

Unsayable Things:
I still keep my hands
full with great hopes &
Best Wishes
for me always
it has always been
my greatest sin.
On a balmy afternoon,
In the whisper of tall grass,
And faint sigh of breeze-stirred trees;
I feel Your presence.
My Pure Heart & Pure soul always said that
The only thing I really need in my real life now, is only you.

Unsayable Gospel

Turned over to a sexual revolution,
evolved to hijacked rainbows.
Graceless hearts deprave the mind,
a diseased façade of freedom,
to redefine every right and wrong.
Prophesied last days ushering
the Bride of Christ persecuted.

Unsayable Irresponsibility

Unsayable Irresponsibility

Inside the festive bar, drinks free flowed
To swaying music, hips and lost inhibitions.
Beer and spirits rivered down the mountain,
Splitting carefree trees in need of shaking,
With queue of law hanging on their branches,
Cues, of the wrath of drinking and driving.

Some heed, most drive to someone's goat.

Unsayable Pride

How proud and unmoving this winter oak
which stands erect, alone, glorifying itself--
those flaked leaves mocking autumn's request.
I observe such chilled indifference, arrogant like me

who cannot twirl like a warm bamboo and display
tender intimacies in any human relation. Aloof,
I cannot find kindness to share my own shade.

Fatality--Unsayable

We feast on Camembert and red wine
observing the pageantry of incandescent stars
reflected through halo’s fervid laughter and love.

I drink merrily as thud of whipped delirium
hammers excruciating pain  off  on, from my brain;
Veiling the limited instances of life’s ungodly time
That I cradle within--- this mute, unsaid goodbye.

Poetry By Chance

If I bow to the word
And you keep to the light,
If I live in split halves,
And you draw inner circles
On the skin of another,
If you daunt me nosily
And I daunt back the world,
If I live the questions
That curl around my vaunted solitude
And you thrive on quick, solid responses
Down the unsayable lanes of the mind,
Let us find freedom in the third choices,
In the nonbelonging of the day.

Unknown Unsayable

Unknown Unsayable

As I sleep with shuttered eyes, closed;
Bed time my teeth enclosed in a jar;
I can't speak, asleep can't speak no teeth;
Got something to say, Can't speak, dangers around me;
Eye closed encase in darkness, lips and mouth lock;
Got something to say,So frighten still can't talk, can't open mouth;
Unknown terrible thrill, can't see or speak, UNSAYABLE

Unsayable Confusion

Sometimes it seems like a distant dream,
and I half-wonder if she was a wild figment of my imagination,
but faded photographs, now the only reminder,
prove to me that the relationship was real, that she was real.
Yet, we went from pure passion to stony silence;
and, again, I question if things were ever that good between us,
or if my memory is playing tricks, as Proust would probably argue?

Bitter Ugly

words of anger and bitterness
fester yet do not surface
emotions boiling over
through it all
she maintains her poker face
in the stench of his glare
and ugliness of his heart

the abuse and violation
it’s all too much to bear
it’s all he spews
his days are numbered
the reign of transgression
soon to crumble
she dreams she prays

Emotional Unsayable

Emotional instability remains a character defect.
            In all moments, I stand alone in remorse,
giving nothing the reasons of why I am alone-
                   I fear all things that bring obscure thoughts.
     When the night falls to the shadows of dusk,
when the darkness flows through my veins,
                       I shan’t see what is right in front of me…my happiness.
