Premium Member Death of a Storm

Florence blew her nose, sparred with tears
Darkened our thoughts, loosened our fears.
Driving recklessly, we looked on as she steers,
Unabashedly crashes and dies. So long dear!

...and I thought to myself,
of all the people in all the world,
this one waited until we met
to open her soul so unabashedly to another,
and oh how utterly marvelous it is
for me to think that way.

Premium Member Kiss of the Sun

Like the rarest, most beautiful orchid your exotic nectar's so addictive I unabashedly crave its essence like the flower...craves the kiss of the sun. Written Feb.13, 2018 For - Romantic charm in 4 lines - Poetry Contest By: Silent One

Premium Member To Share the Magic

A full moon was staring
  at me unabashedly
A stare of curiosity
  midst bright luminosity

When it dipped behind
  a tree, so very sultry
Winking suggestively
  setting me free

Hope flooding my heart
that I'd find a true love
To share the magic
  of white Cupid above

Autumn

Sunrise symphony’s crescendo of light
Reflected through a chalice of amber facets
Unabashedly dispel the defeated night

If I could not see, would you remain unseen?

On tanned faces the breath of whispers
Brush my lips that I might feel, please
Speak of beauty borne of colors beyond sight

A Thousand Miles

A thousand miles to go,
I wander on the mysterious paths of life
Believing in the divine
Bogged down by the strenuous journey,
Yet unabashedly marching forthright.
Challenges, fears, troubles, I overcome,
Grow, look back, perplexed, at the momentum
At which I conquer the demons of my fate.

Alliteration Allies

Dramatically daring disarmingly dapper
So soflty serene so subtly sublime
Enigmaticly entrancing enthusiastically enjoyable
Vividly vibrant vicariously viewing
Caringly caressing charismatically cosmic
Admittedly alluring amid amicable azure
Unforgettably unabashedly undemanding
Irrisistably Ignitingly Insync

Premium Member She Was Staring At Me

Though this she'll deny
  I caught her incautious eye
staring at me, yes she was
  unabashedly

'Twas but a moment I grant
  the evidence scant
My word against hers
in no court of law assured

Yet it matters not what she'll say
at the end of the day
I know what I saw; and what I saw, I know
  builds my confidence so

Kwik-E-Mart

Altiloquent in behavior
Quick to carom
Unabashedly pawky
A labyrinthine of misadventure

Like living in Greenland
Hardly felt warmth
Got the oil-
Wanted nothing more

Silenced your weapon
Named it trust
In the end
Just shot yourself

Like Halloween everyday
Since the mask came on
A new disguise
Darker and darker you stay

Premium Member Shame Died Today

Consumed by doubt, down but not out
Swig of whiskey tickles the throat
                                      rags for a coat

Down on his luck, surviving on pluck
     Bums another cigarette
                     breaks out in cold sweat

   Begs unabashedly
     points to you and me
     Inside, you shudder
       ~ unashamed, I flee

My Thoughts

My thoughts are often filled with longing
Yearning for a love to call my own

Thinking of strong arms to hold me;
Hands so loving they touch my very soul.
Overjoyed by his attentions I turn to face my love.
Unabashedly, I give myself to his lips
Grasping his very essence towards me,
Hungry and demanding; we become one.
To him I am his dream, the one he has long
Searched for; meant to be his love forevermore

The Satisfaction Tree

In this second of time,
Nothing to wring our hands over,
Neither to be arrogant over, either!
We got out of life, what we put in.

Some, of course will disagree
That's Ok, I am swinging wildly.
On the verdant Satisfaction tree!
Very unabashedly!

God has been with me all along,
Through loss, death and abandonment.
See, I am still here singing my song
Called, "Life is for Living"' all day long!
