Notes About The Poem

Hurricane Florence though a Cat 1 storm caused extreme flooding in North Carolina

Death of a Storm

Florence blew her nose, sparred with tears
Darkened our thoughts, loosened our fears.
Driving recklessly, we looked on as she steers,
Unabashedly crashes and dies. So long dear!

G'day Kim … like having children isn't it. Cleaning up after the mess is next - thanks Kim - Lindsay

So true! What a difficult storm! Recovery will be hard for those in the Carolinas!

Great title, also like 'darkened thoughts, loosened fears' very powerful like its namesake!
