Hi Deborah, I'm not sure that I totally understand this poem. There are certainly many zealous religious people trying to find and perhaps show some insights along life's way. Sanctimonious? I don't think so. But who am I to judge? Facists... hummm. Maybe that's why economy and politics are best left out of religon. You made me think and look up the word Facist, again. Keep writing. Ok the rhyming dictionary's telling me Deist means someone who believes God created the world then abandoned it. Not sure I can connect that thought as easily to Hitler but the rest of this flows really smoothly and expertly, fairly quick read too. You must have scored well on the Verbal SATs Deb with your fancy 5 syllable wordings and vocab:) Be at peace child of unadulterated everlasting love.
