Our President is not very bright
He paced his bedroom all through the night
So filled up with pride
He clapped 'til he cried:
"How does a Limey turn off the light?
Tired, sleepy, exhausted, and run-down
Eyes slowly shutting, head pillow bound
Pull up the covers, turn off the light
Whisper, 'I love you, sweet dreams, and goodnight'

easily distracted by too many ads
the sheer notion of being creative
is having a creative space to write
sincerely fight flight beyond plight
A smile's a transformer
It changes your day
To be-bop and blue skies
from downcast and gray
So turn off the gloom
and switch on a grin
A good mood's contagious
~ Laughter its twin
I say, “Would you turn off that radio please?
I’m trying to rest and put my mind at ease.”
