once a slick salesman from nice
soaked his suits in tubs of grease
so he slid through town
with nary a frown
till someone called the police.

"I love you a little
I love you alot
I love you enough
To Fill Ten Pots
Eight wash tubs
And three dishpans"
Happy Valentine's Day to all soupers!!!!

Drowning
A fledgling flew,
alas, wings to small and weak
it landed in a puddle
and quickly drowned.
Tiny tot too dies easily
in ponds
lakes
rivers
bath tubs
and in the Mediterranean Sea
only few of them
die by accident.

Blank verse
mother mouse had her hands and tubs full on wash day
her children were jumping and diving and playing every which way
Pinning on the line took even more effort, but worth the trouble.
Interlopers kept coming back for more; she thought she was seeing double.

Hot Tubs
Tin bathtubs were hung in backyards, it’s true
They were brought in on bath night, right on cue
Good old ma would fill the tub
Then give us a soapy scrub
Hot tubs ain’t new, had 'em in old days too.

Old Times(quadruple Senryu)
I drift into past
I remember the old times
That`s hard to forget.
We walk on beaches
Hand in hand and Side by side
Smiles filled with passion.
Feel warm in bath tubs
Rolling on rumpled bed sheets
full of life and joy.
Can`t we have this back?
Old times of good memories
Which is unshaken.

The drive from the airport
took us two days.
We had to sample each other
in bedrooms and showers,
in hot-tubs, in the frilled thrill
of paid for rooms.
Later, we did it in the car like kids.
This Valentine’s Day
there will be a different kind of passion,
a love of wine and warm sheets,
chocolates and
old movies.

Forecasting hurricanes
predict outbreaks of pretty 24 hour weather girls.
Sparrows seek the sheltering wings
of owls and hawks.
Stay in your recharging eclectic cars -
hand on tight.
By midnight total destruction
of garden gnomes and ornamental flamingos
is guaranteed.
Survivors are asked to remain in your bath tubs
until absolutely clean.

Nineteen tubs of family photos
Some with wedding photos of people
who are now divorced.
No one wants them.
But maybe later?
It is so difficult to know what to do.
Dare I leave all of these tubs for my children?
Isn't it bad enough they are going to have to unload the
rest of my houseful of junk?
Nineteen tubs.
Can I face them?
Not today.

I opened my eyes to a world gone white,
For something happened, as I slept last night.
God opened his windows in Heaven and said, “I know
They need some beauty in my world down below.”
He poured out tubs, and tubs of soft white snow.
He poured and poured till the whole Earth was aglow.
What a beautiful, shining world all covered in white,
With millions and millions of snowflakes, sent for our delight.

The
Spa
when used
be confused
by most first-timers
yet not a case for old-timers.
As timetables vary per clients customary,
employees plan on weekly, shifts expected, with clientele care to be primary.

My soldiers are plastic
but they can be wounded
dog teeth maim them, eat them,
only after hours of gastric warfare
can they be rescued.
Today they charge to take a beach.
daring death at every turn.
Tidal waves rush in,
most can only swim in bath tubs.
It’s a military disaster.
The dog dives into the sea
snaps at the waves.
I can only hope
there are survivors
even if they’re inside
the dog again.

The time for talk
Is over and done
The web of our love
Is already spun
It's time for us
To connect our emotions
Thru sexual acts
Of love over flowing
With slow music playing
Massage of your back
Peaches and cream
I know you like that
With ice cubes and handcuffs
Tubs of Cool whip
Chocolate dipped strawberries
Applied to your lips
With moaning and groaning
Never to stop
This fountain of love
Will spew over top

Romanticism
Of whooshy bottoms I do speak,
Across the tub they do squeak.
Cheek to cheek over tub and tile,
My little girl likes to slide in style.
She invites folks over two at a time,
Splits their quarters,
And keeps a dime.
Sets her friends up at the tubs far end,
Makes sure bottoms are soaped for a slide to the end.
Speed trials have always been fun,
Until the soap holder came to an end.

The drive from the airport
took us two days.
We had to sample each other
in bedrooms and showers,
in hot-tubs, in the frilled thrill
of paid for rooms.
Weeks later we did it in the car
on the way to some forgotten place.
It was awkward, I had misremembered
how a car can restrict.
We hastily gathered ourselves
lest the young show up
with cell phones.
Little lambs we were,
and sheep do not grow old,
except in the light of day.
