Hot Tubs
Tin bathtubs were hung in backyards, it’s true They were brought in on bath night, right on cue Good old ma would fill the tub Then give us a soapy scrub Hot tubs ain’t new, had 'em in old days too.

Sudsy fun Belle! Can't say I experienced this original "hot tub" but I certainly did enjoy your bubbly limerick. Blessings of good clean fun to you!

Thank you Sam, this has brought some memories back, I remember when a hole appeared in the tin bath our mom had us chewing gum so that she could plug the holes up with it, she even had my future husband chewing it, he was lucky, they had a proper bathroom in his home. Hard but great times we had back then… Belle

Lol, I remember them well Belle, brought in once a week, I don't think they changed the water for each person though. Hope you've had a nice bank holiday, been cold and wet here. Tom

Thank you Rico too, I don’t recall the parents using the same water as us kids, or even them taking a dip, must have had their baths when us kids were in bed… Belle

babies first with no regard for sex, then youngest to eldest, grandma last, but why? The scum floats to the top, so whatever is scrubbed off clings to the skin when one rises! Yet once per week no matter what! Aloha! Rico

Hi Tom, they couldn’t possibly have kept changing the water, I remember my mom boiling pots of water on the stove. Had a nice May day, it’s been raining guys and gals though. Hope you’ve had a good day too... Belle

Belle, great limerick ,well done. My grandma told me about those, said she was lucky to be the first to go in, because they just added hot water after each kid, love _Constance
