I must'a been a beautiful baby,
but that ain't true any more

I'm still a pathetic sight,
One that no one can any longer adore

Thin Mints, an oxymoron
Heavy Mints is spot on
I think willpower deserves a badge
Never can eat just one
My goal? To make a Scouts’ pledge
I hem and haw and hedge
No more cookies, I wail
Try as I might I fail
So I eat the whole sleeve instead
see her, you see
That distant part of me

My mind spirals with every thought.
I know sleep is what I ought.
Salt fills every drop.

Thinking of the wars I've fought.
So poems I begin to jot.
Trauma like this cannot be bought.
So every night I am wrought.
Within the fears I seem to be caught.

Singapore
i wander i ponder i whisper i chuckle
i laugh of what i have just done
i think of what i should do next
what evil lust will i think of now
i cry i weep i heave a sigh
but try as i might i cannot stop
addicted to my lusts i must not quite
it is a part of me now this fear these tears
a part of me now and forever
I slowly open my eyes as the morning chorus of mother nature sings
A cold bubble of impenetrable sadness enveloped me, like icy angel wings
As quickly as it came, it recoiled, like a crisp whisper in the thick air of silence
Try as i might to capture it, the feeling slips from my grasp in muted violence
Come sit right here
On my little ledge
Safely guarded from the storm
There's room for you and me
Come sit right here
Right by me
Don't worry, don't fret
There's nothing to fear
Come sit right here
No tears or fears
No hate or death
Just you, just me
Try as I might
They all take flight
(and leave me here alone)
Does no one notice the pain I can't hide,
try as I might?
Or that i'm not by their side
but in mid-flight?
Does no one notice the life i wish for,
Or past my walls to the open door?
Can no one see not me but my true self
not my mask from of the shelf?
