Of Things To Come

Line my quilt with the heaven's sunset
Of baked apples and golden trims
For tonight I will dream
Of such things to come

Autumn Walk

Crimson trims the trees
Sky is fleetingly adorned
Crunch through Autumn drifts

A Hen Flaps Her Wings

a hen flaps her wings
and flies up to the rooftop- -
vet trims her feathers

*inspired by our neighbour's three pet hens and their recently trimmed flight feathers

She Likes To Beautify

She liked to beautify and decorate
Arrived at school early, never ever late.
We liked her ornaments and trims and such.
I loved her gaudy garnishes, I mean very much.

If You Want To Give Me a Car

If you want to give me a car
make it out of chrome
give it silver spinners
with psychedelic trims

Christmas lights on the floor boards
and Tinkerbell floor mats
A fire truck siren would be perfect
Thank you in advance.

Our Truth

Our Truth, the only Truth
Was with Boaz and Ruth
He guided Noah just fine
To load the camels and kine.'
The ark door; God shut it's sooth
Remember that each day,
He garners; as it were hay.'
He trims the sun's light above
And wraps; our mortal being in Love.'

Snow

Starlight sparkles on snow falling, gently down to earths embrace.
Now she's dressed in pure white satin, elegantly, so precise.
Overlaid with frozen snowflakes, fragile as the finest lace.
Winters morning starts adorning, trims with pearly beads of ice.

Retort To Time

The crispness of your knife goes snick!
Cutting up my dreams like celery,
To make hors d’oeuvres that you, Time, pick
And gobble till you’ve swallowed me.

But while you cut, your blade will knick
Hard upon my iron bone;
It trims me to the very quick—
But still, my skull will dull its hone.

Family

Family is here, family is there, but do you really want family everywhere?
Mom folds clothes, Dad trims his toes, and brothers we don't even know.
My dog leaves us all kinds of things and I end up cleaning these.
Once you think about it they are really quite fine, but what do I know I'm only nine!

Sadly

Grief gropes
Poise pokes
Rude ropes
Stress strokes

Love lost
Night knots
Crude cost
Trips thought

Sad say
Prompts pace
Plush pay
Trims trace

Move mind
Face fear
Keep kind
Choose cheer

Prime pact
Stay strong
Apt act
Lifts long

Slander

Commissary's adjutant's remove
the follow up of consequence, the groove
is always open, while a lesson's move
is stifled by condition, not to prove!

So help me speak, a cause acquits my mood
and that deep sorrow plugs my inward prove,
truth's known, not always hopeful, but delude ~
so slander trims the fate, that could have truth!

I Love You For Being You

Ideas conveyed in trails of semantics
Or moving over horse and bars in gymnastics
Tumbling, rolling, scribbling phonetics
Reeling, shrilling, scorching like ballistics

Quibbling over ideas and reams of whims
Rattling odd stories of soul's whines and trims
Yours is the power over lines and grims
Absolution or redemption atop one's dreamed
  old gym hymns

My Sorrows

As if my sorrow knows no bound
Its roots are deep in my heart’s ground.

Its branches are high up in the sky
Its fruits are sweet no one can defy.

Its leaves are green as if it won’t die
It’s like a rain tree so it can cry.

Its flowers have very sweet fragrance
It attracts people from a distance.

Its flowers are no doubt colorful
God trims it with His gardening tool.

A Winter Scene

It is snowing out
Quickly the snow falls
The wind is blowing
Rapidly the snow spreads
Bare trees are covered
With the heavy snow
All the evergreens trees
Also coated with snow

From the blowing snow
It looks like cotton trims
On bare evergreens trees
Even the bare bushes
Have the trimof snow
From the winter storm
White snow everywhere
A beautiful scene shown

is she the faerie of the prophecy

The platinum gray blonde fairy sported dainty wings
Her gown of turquoise matched them perfectly,
Both were enhanced by golden brocade trims
She rode her snail toward the marsh, sitting erect

Is she fairy of the prophecy? Some wondered.
I figured she must be; who else could look this regal.
She was apparently the queen we had been waiting for.
Now the woods could renew its magic contract with the faeries.

Cobbler -Hlm

sits in one corner
with glue, thumb-tacks and hammer
savior of lost soles

Mr. Smith accepts any kind of old shoes
To fix, sew and make tight ones loose
Also makes loose ones tight
Swapping your left and right
At lowest cost, trims your nails and toes

Old shoe’s life lies over the heels of a cobbler, controller of some avid shoppers.
