Life hums with haste - the clock hands fly
thoughts slip past, clouds in the sky
like chalk on a rain-slick slate,
like the stars through a tremulous haze.

when I recall spring meadows
as green as Anna's happy eyes;
days could have no sun in gelid January,

stirred not at all
like a wilderness of dreams
or tremulous glimpses
of awakening
the world is
mighty but solemn
invoking traitors
into the ocean
of lucidity
bitterly trembling
we're motionless
rudderless
but not artless at least
and we sigh
and sigh
and sigh once more

loving and spontaneous
hesitates not to embrace
tremulous souls
yet captive to ego
who are as yet not awake
love’s effervescence
is a ceaseless outpouring
fragrance of a flower
warmth of the sun
seduction of the moon
caress of the breeze
pulsating in the vibrant void
now and forever
The lad looked up at the sky with a tremulous sigh
Why is man born and why must he die?
He gazed at the stars, dazzling guideposts of night
With arms outstretched toward their flickering light
