A Dangerous Exercise

So, I
Cranked
My treadmill
Up to max for
15 minutes today
and when I finally
took my roller skates
off they were WHITE hot

Be Careful What You Wish For

Victim of his own success…
the treadmill calls,
the hourglass broken
—casualty of what time denies

Withering of life bit by bit,
A skinny man tumbles with hunger,
Poverty , a blue !

Burning off obesity bit by bit,
Treadmill to a man's excess,
Richness , a blue !

Hollow Drums

Disco burnout,
fever rampant erosion

Empty glances,
mirrored hollow drums

Bleeding, starving,
passive alertness

Madeup, putdown
—treadmill run

Time In Treadmill

The golden king of days,
ruling sky just for hours.
Sparkling jewels of nights,
fading at destined time.
Dipped in wealthy waters,
ah! dark days yet to come.
If feet are soaked in mud,
yes! sun is rising soon.

New Millennium's Curse

Compression ingestion
The world to implode
The numbers decreasing
  —resistance explodes

From diamond to carbon
Wheels spin in reverse
The groundhog, the treadmill

Premium Member Her

Carefree and intense,
People who lie.
Stories of glory;
I sit here and cry.

Treadmill of anger,
Rolling beneath me.
I long for her grace,
Her touch, her healing.

She is the one,
The only chosen.
I lie here waiting,
Wanting and broken.

The Actual Gym

Hours of kick boxing
Eye lids on a constant sit up practice,
Blood flowing down through various yoga positions
Eye muscles are stretching
The lips lifting weights
Cells running on a treadmill,
After such a long boot camp
The mind ready for meditation.

Premium Member Treadmill

he's a treadmill
living palindromic days
real time
which doesn't help
neither does his lawyer
but victimaholic attitudes
those aches and pains
in dust filled boxes
aspiring to move away
unfortunately for him
his shadow
and his tambourine
are just where
he likes them

Carnage

Minds on fire
bodies racked with pain
Eyes bleary
Every day it seems
that the great checkerboard
of day and night
has us in its grip
Where do we come from?
Where are we going?
These questions fill the air
It seems that we are on a treadmill
Like Sisyphus
we face frustration
But we can change
the path we are on
if we play our cards right

A Lot Within

We consume a lot within...

...We work hard to dump...

...This diction explored relates...

...With tone the sound resonates...

...The everyday...

...The treadmill...the grind...

...The treadmill syndrome...the grind...

...To shut the door...

...invoke the quiet...

...We suck it up...

...We consume a lot within...

...Side step...the Side step...

...We work hard to dump...

Premium Member Living In a Healthy Way

I've done my work out for the day
Instead of all those games I play
The treadmill it did beckon me
So I put aside my cup of tea
I went outside, jumped on my machine
In my yard midst trees so green
Ten minutes down the track I knew
That was all I cared to do
At least I made the effort though
It kind of made my body glow
I'm going to do this every day
And live my life in a healthy way

Life's Like That

Life is slowly pinning me down,
sharp shards of attachment attack by mobility.
Treadmill of progression that strengthens me to stay.
as my legs stagnate my mind grows.
I guess I could move forward,
towards,
ahead,
but I am not ready to leave it all behind.
You’ve clipped my wings; the circumstance of you has pulled me unwarily from the sky.
Into you lap of comfort, where I remain uncomforted.

Premium Member The Treadmill of Life

How fragile is the thread
That bears the weight
Of
Who I am
Is it not true?
My greatest strength is my deepest fear
Will I ever be complete?
How far must I run?
On the treadmill of life
Before I realize
That I have lost the race
In reality
Losing the race
Has gained me the victory
For I now fully understand
It matters not
Who wins or loses
All that truly matters
Is who we help along the way

red-eyed in underland

a blood-letting sun
sets as slow as an amber tear
in a shot glass

dotty is lost in oz
ruby slippers
run on a treadmill
of long summer evenings
avocados turn brown
drowned by a late light

a vein is open
watching eyes water
over a crimson gash

a gush
bleeds out
into a hoodwink
then sinks inside
a darkening cowl

an infant
wails
in a witch's
scrawny arms

none see
the birthing knife

Kids and Tyler

He sings so sweetly, my puppies perk
Up their ears. They love my grandkid
As much as I do. Larry opened the door
And Tyler ran in. He asked me why my
Treadmill was dusty. I said it's nice
Outside, so I prefer to walk. Then he
Asked for a Coke. I said it's in the
Fridge. His daddy got him a blue cup.
Gary's explaining the new stuff on a
Computer Diedra gave me. Michelle's
Offices are like mine. She's like me.

Premium Member Tape Measure

tape measure in hand soft spoken,"Can't believe it".... dust upon treadmill
Inspired by the contest about addictions not an entry.... Since my back problems and then the surgery, I haven't been on the treadmill..I got on it this morning and there was an inch of dust.. I have spent a lot of time on the computer reading, writing, searching out questions, etc. It becomes addictive..

Stumble and Fall

Stumble and fall,
Pick up, start over.
Life's a continuous treadmill,
Beginning to end.

The race is on,
Who is in front?
If he stumbles and falls,
Will he begin again?

Life has started.
Stumble and fall,
No bones broken,
After all.

The terrain gets steeper,
The speed increases.
Are you gaining or losing,
This race in life?

Fall to the wayside,
Stumble and fall.
Life's dangerous path,
Belongs to us all.
