This year she is excited to see me! What has changed?

Inspired

The night, still, dark, my silent thrill…inspired!
Alone I sat and wrote ‘til heart’s content.
Expressions filled with wisdom I desired.
So word-by-word I wrote; did not relent.
For hours many views, to mind transpired
Some words were forced, some flowed with fresh insight.
And thus I wrote from dark until daylight.

Haunting yet beautiful
The eyes that I knew
Suffer no more
Yet missed, I regret not
The grace that gave his memory
Yet still I believe
Amazing, great things could

If he would have seen this new day

When all of the hate of this world diminishes
It is then that I will truly live in the land of the free...
