Soulmates MIA
life waylaid by confusion
we search a world of
topsy-turvy Escher halls
climbing flights of endless stairs
"The grass is blue and the sky is green;
There's something wrong," he said.
"There's nothing wrong," his friend replied.
"You're standing on your head!"
Form:
Topsy Turvy Tomato
Finally yielded some fruit
I get exercise to boot
For I have to get on my knees
And sometimes lie down to beg please
Release the tomato to me
Form:
I once made an upside down pudding
But it slipped out whilst it was cooking
It covered the oven base
Was an absolute disgrace
Yet the taste was second to nothing.
Some days the pen weighs a ton, or two
On others it's light as a feather
Our lives are topsy-turvy, ever-changing
Fascinations in adventure
~Just like poetry weather
The Blue Jays home opener is April 8th
Weatherman's predicts snow, hate... hate... hate
Not civilized for sure
Outlook's damn poor
The world's topsy turvy, sure am irate
Whimsical & topsy-turvy
A partnership of mirth & hilarity
William,dramatist with much to say
Arthur,leading composer of his day-
With light opera, they made their pay.
Tribute to Gilbert&Sullivan
Topsy turvy lives,
we lead.
We rare ones,
a special breed,
not all can be.
Sunrise is sleep,
mid-day slumber.
The moon, our luminary.
We awaken
with lengthening shadows.
Hallway haunters are we.
a scarecrow smiles,
an infant sneers
a lion bleats,
a lamb growls
thieves chase the police,
pea-hens strut feathers n’ dance
everything is topsy-turvy~
in sync with the times!
UPSIDE DOWN
inverted, topsy-turvy
unhinging, disorienting, confusing
puzzle, somersault; details, viscera
twisting, wearing, turning
front to back, socks
INSIDE OUT
written October 10, 2021
Topsy Turvy, Wavy Curly,
Twists, Turns and dips,
Bumpy Road,
No road code,
We've got to get a grip.
Hold on tight,
With all our might,
While on this rocky ride,
All unite to end this fight,
Or we will end up dead.

Withered Youth
Off their garments, they naïve
Pose the young Adam and Eve

Hail! Go withered youth
Ignore poor innocent grieve!

*Topsy-Turvy Limerick Ironic
Is it really, real?
Twist of unreality
Unlucky fatal thoughts
What I see out my window
Unwanted conscious scenes.

Clickety-clack train
and topsy-turvy brain.
Need sleeps tight and sound,
drowsy wheels are turning slowly around.
On the way to my home.
Ah! I'm missing my comfy room.
Though higgledy-piggledy bed
but all I am craving is my fluffy blanket.
Whoopsie is a topsy turvy murvy lurvy swervy kind of gal
I stopped by her teacup house yesterday because I am her pal
What if it rains? I asked her, what do you do then, my friend?
It never rains in the kitchen she said and curtsied with a bend.

Swimming Fly
In a canteen where my food I buy
I draw my eyeballs to viands nigh
There was a soup hot as good
But something odd shifts my mood
A speck out of place, a swimming fly!

Media Beside
Come! Lo! Valiant knights who never hide
Allow not the truth be put aside
Zip not thy mouth, ears open
Walk not with doubt, eyes listen
Do odd, let them see media beside.

Flightless Wings
Call me, flightless wings, don't deny
I do flip, flap, stretch, yet cannot fly
For what are we or me
In night a star that's wee
But look! I'm still beautiful! Thanks, High!

Love barbs singed my heart, churning feelings of revulsion, flying topsy turvy in every nook and cranny in the heart that once whisked feelings in which I basked with hope, delight and anticipation.
Fed up I wanna break
Free of the shell I now elect
To wrap, cast in my past.

River yonder bathe Danica baby subtle
Shampoo and soap ye by Mother Lily gentle
Far from across mom's eyes see
Running reptile must clumsy
Huge, unusual blue-green hump rush gone fast turtle.

Honest Lie
Lady someone asked young beautiful man
Grace supposition as elegant swan
Paired male eyes upon her up to down
Wears he anonymous smile nor frown
“Fairy dear!” cries mouth's obvious honest lie.

Law impartial show must him in railing teeter

Beginning Ends
Monday in Baywalk's orange afternoon
Jay meets Joy due a dish of pork and spoon
Heads talk and name they exchange
Hearts walk and love they arrange
Aware this beginning ends, shines the moon.

Soundless Shout
Alas! Ouch! What is this thing pulling me out?
Off in my mother's womb where I came about
Aray! Oh I'm now bleeding
Aray! My flesh here shredding
I'm helpless, nobody hears my soundless shout!
