Nuptial Time Warp
If we stayed young
and didn’t age
would marriage last
to turn the page

Would love endure
and pledges stay
with time becalmed
— and youth sustained

Peace
in quiet
today some souls
will find
          no peace
no quiet
trapped in a time warp
with desolate and terrifying dangers and threats
battered betrayals
alone
forgotten
silent
where no poetry could help....

Time Warp
Loving you is like chasing a rainbow
From many years ago
When your existence began to show
And my fate began to glow

I wish to roll back the hands of my time
And hold your clock still
So our seasons will rhyme
So do with what we feel...

Time Warp
A child like outlook re capturing
your childhood.

Reminiscing of
a vivid vibrant memory to a happy
carefree place.

Temporarily caught
in a time warp, re living the times
you loved the most.

A rip in the
fabric of time, back to moments
sublime....

Time Warp-Fright
Life changed in an instant
Explosion, posessions littered, poignant
Distant siren's wail, mother chants,
My baby, my baby!! life shant
End today, only six month's delay-don't rant.
Posessions, my slant
can be replaced. Life can't!

Casa Della Pasta
from a street
in Cartagena
stepping
suddenly

into a

restaurant
so Italian
surely i was
in a time warp

for i

i was still
in Colombia but
fooled by the food
so authentico

and even

the wine was
from Italy so
after paying
my bill

instead

of using
the usual
gracias i just
had to say

Slot Machines
Guitars playing.
Guarding the one you love.
Don’t give up.
Walking together as a gang.
Slot machines ring.
The icy ball is kicked.
Surface from imagination.
Wolves barking almost.
Kiss you on the forehead.
The Romeo of his generation.
The Bob Dylan of the new generation.
Speed.
Heavy metal.
Time warp of nowhere.
Kiss you again....

Listen to poem:
and suddenly
i’ve stepped through
an archway

time caught in a loop
wallowing in slow motion

surreal day from night

the world turning
without you without me

and through an expanse of molasses
i muddle through

lost and alone while
i’m not sure at all where you’ve gone

Plug a Poem In the Socket
I'm a planner I'm a scanner I'm a time warp spanner
and you better get outta my way
I can rap with the babies and the Baby Boom ladies
and I really got somethin to say

I been lovin ,I been fightin, I been rainbow writin
and I got it all on the line
plug a poem in the socket ,if you really
wanna rock it
it'll always come out in the rhyme...

Last Shot
Stalking a dream
trailing a memory
A scent came in focus
  wafting desire

Seized by the moment
alluding a time warp
Tracking its shadow
ambush on fire

Covered in greasepaint
fear is approaching
Hearing its footsteps
the jungle embarked

Crosshair detention
target redemption
Locked and reloaded
—one shot in the dark

Black Hole
Stuck
in a time warp, twisted
in the middle of spinning
alternate
realities, I now
look
at you and see
me-as-I-was with him, all the while
I am with you
he-as-he-was with me

Stunned, dazzled I gasp
in a stormy ocean of
sweet and sour
feelings, confusing
past
and future

Somehow I
never
recovered the piece of myself I
lost in his soul before
intermixing
mine with yours...

failures and triumphs
whose

there is no one here
save presence
in a space-time warp
as has been impulsed
in this lucid dream

residual identity
sometimes resurfaces
that we may feel
transient tremors
seeming as real

overriding all sensations
the magnetic bliss current
as ignition renewal
steadies the love flame
as the false drops away

Listen to poem:
A warped mind is a tongue-twister.
Hewn timber warped out of shape by water
is entropy's revenge on the carpenter.
Warp and weft weave yarns to form fabric's warp and woof.
Doing the time warp in a worm hole,
shuffling discontinuous the pack of events.
Engage warp drive to travel
faster than the speed of light.
Warp is distortion's twin sister,
   a game changer....

A Time Warp
Morning night, Morning night
I'm not sure if I will ever win this fight
1234
I feel as if I have lived this life many times before
"come on it will be fun"
with what friends I have none
air in air out
and don't ever pout
everyday if like a time warp
a constant loop
until the day I tie the rope
and take one last step
with your pcture kept forever in my heart
because life is a story and that's my part...

The scars left by those yesterdays
Leave her trapped in the past
 With a never ending pain
 As melancholy shadows are cast

Her heart finds it hard to dance
 To the beat of love
 Memories leave her in confusion
As she searches for elusive answers from skies above

She seeks freedom from her illusions
But she is trapped in a time warp
 where yesterdays always return
and her tears never see to learn

Reminders we are not finite
Lest we should forget
Time tends to stop and hover
Undetectable
In a slow motion whirl
Caught in an endless loop
Like a 45 record that skips
It’s a typical phenomena
In all hospital waiting rooms
A soupy silence so very palpable
Contemplating the meaning of life
And what is left of it
Prisoner caught in a time warp
While life goes on outside this window

Of All That I Dream
Looking over my life with
All that I dream, is all
Just a memory faded with
Time, frozen in a time warp
All that is a dream, lost with
In my early youth,
Without the nerves to pursuit
All that would have made
Me whole and complete,
Satisfying feeding my soul
To precede with that one
Infinite dream
In all essence of life to be
Nurture and fulfilling,
Perhaps all that I gaze
Upon,
Will make my life richer
More radiant,
Less drama,more Peace...

One Question
So here we are. In life, life we say. What is life? A breathe, a time warp, a dream,
a creation of another being? A song, a heartbeat, is it the growth of the great
pine?
Is it shown in the phases of the moon, or in the rays of the sun? Is it the sparkle
of the stars, or in the color of our eyes?
Is it the first breathe of a newborn, or in the last breathe of our loved ones? To
wonder, to wander, in life they are the same.
Life is life, so why aren't we living?...

At first sight, her dark,
innocent beauty captivated
the spirited young redhead.
They lived, loved, breathed
through eight births
and one death, baby Loretta.

Spine stiffened, she watched
her love lowered six feet
into the bitterroot soil,
her thickened body numb,
her mind in time warp.

She tasted gritty ashes,
unable to crush the stone
lodged within her breast.

Children clung to her skirts
like baby opossums fastened
to their mother's skin....
