Us, From the Realization Til Now

Meeting.
Soaked souls in wine.
Dizzy, tingling hearts fall behind.
Our moment's trump all else; rebuilds lost time.
Ignite, our connection is flint.
We dance 'til dawn.
Meeting.

Oh Love

The concept,
The idea, the belief
The notion
As til now
Caused some commotion
Oh the strongest oldest potion
Keeps me hungry for devotion
For also this is part of me
With one I am whole entity
Oh Love, Oh love, Oh love you see
Is in all but nobody?

None of them have been me ‘til now;
Not trying to come off highbrow;
I’ll let you find out and say ciao;
Have a pow wow, have a pow wow;

They will all feel like my shadow
as they sit putting on a show;
You’ll feel it as soon as you go;
A notch below, a notch below.

My Love

Whilst contemplating my love of past
from then til now and all contrast,
Surprised that here I've carried through
sentimentally anew.
Unconscious there when never measured
sacredness in heart I treasured,
Though awakened from curious quirk-
my love within was all my work.

Many mistakes 'til now from then,

          Many roads that might've been,

But I hope it's said I hedged my bets,

With a bountiful heart & no regrets.

Timeless Love

It seems your face
is timeless
deep
in my mind. From
the first time I saw you,
the image
of your face
stuck
in my mind 'til now.
I cannot
delete
or reboot my my mind
to erase
memories
of your face. If my
mind was
a computer,
and you a software,
no virus would
infect you!

Here follows a curious song,
 a question 'til now delayed:
Oh, what miracle set us abroad,
 then here among the Lakes?
Was it a mutual desire to feel
 what new cultures and
 languages reveal?
Or that God wills fate to help and
 to heal?
Each path, unmet, untold.
Yet, one moment,
 one alter,
two hands for each to hold.

Trials Ahead

Lots of things I haven’t done
While I have been alive,
Yet there are trials ahead of me
Into which I must dive.

First and foremost, I must learn
To write with my left hand
And when you hear the reason
Maybe you will understand.

For up ‘til now, I never fell
And broke a bone I need.
Today I did and challenges
Await me, guaranteed.

Inartful

now I have a word
for all of my transgressions
never knew 'til now

often wondered why
things don't go my way sometimes
open mouth and spew

good bad indifferent
just an inartful big boob
makes me just wanna

shut all the flock up
even thou my aim is true
sometimes I'm a fool

guess everyone knew
except for me now silent
who wants to think first?

Cakeage

The word of the day is cakeage;
It’s when restaurants charge a fee
For bringing in an outside cake,
Which never used to be.

In fancy places, oenophiles
Prefer to bring their wine,
So there’s a corkage fee, which many
Seem to feel is fine.

But up ‘til now, I’ve never heard
Of anything called cakeage,
Though dot com dictionaries likely
Don’t make a mistakeage.

The Lord

Lord
He left me
Oh my lord why
When my heart was full of love
That what my heart felt
Til now my lord
The pain just won't disappear
My heart won't be able to love again
My heart is bleeding
My heart is crying
Oh my lord why
My heart is dying
There no more love
Inside the beat has stop
My heart has turn into stone
The light of my heart
Can't you see my lord
The light of my heart faded away.

Loss

LOSS

A tree came down in our front yard,
I’d never noticed it ‘til now,
Its rugged trunk, its ragged bough
Had kept the sun from shining hard.
It was this tree diffused the light,
Its limbs selecting out which beams
Should enter, in bright-ribbon streams,
Our fronted rooms, to light them right.
It served its purpose quietly –
Living, I never gave it aught
Except indifference,
Never thought,
But dying, made its mark on me.

RAT a TAT TAT

Like a meteor shower
Hailing down from heights unknown
TRUTH bombs dropping every hour
Into a heart where WORD has been sown

Opening up new possibilities
Unimaginable til now
The VOID in every door jam
Beckoning rhythm to bow

Sorrow and grief want to dance
With depression upon the back
Swing, two three, jump, and glide
Over the dip, missing the crack

...where LOVE embraces lack

Time

Tick, tock, tick, tock.
I hear the days march on.
Tick, tock, tick, tock
Those days are long since gone.

Of innocence and purity
   And childhood games with friends
Of happy, laughing, giggling times,
   and playtime without ends.

But now our time it slows and goes
   and gives us mem'ries still
Of times when time flew oh so fast
'til now, when time's to kill.

... but, never to stand still.
... marching on and on until ...

Martyn

Mistress is what he calls me
Asks nothing more from me than I can give
Ready to do what I want and when
Trusts me as he has no other
Yields to me in ways that humble me
Never knew 'til now what a treasure he is

I am honored he is mine
A way with words he has
Not at all afraid to tell me anything

Gives me more than I could ask for
Is perfect for me in more ways than one
Loves me in a different but perfect way
Leaves me feeling like I am a worthy Mistress

So you return on silver wheels, and the wheels are faster than I remember them. What memories you bring, what joy, what heartache, Brenda. I had forgotten you 'til now, but silver wheels still squeal at the far side of my brain. ------------------------------------------------ "And thee returning on thy silver wheels" - from "Tithonus", by Alfred Tennyson. 6/8/2016 Contest - Your own favorite poem Sponsor - Carol Eastman 1st place win

Keep Moving On

Life is the mystery of what us humans want to find the answer to. The purpose of one's life the meaning it holds to the beholder. I question life as I wonder why I allow myself to fall this deep into the abyss. Floating around not having a sense of life I seek til now. Toxic chemicals stained cloth bitter run in the veins. Past self to myself now I've seen I've change. I can't fall back because of life. I walked to many miles to find a flame to ignite.

Blistering Fire

Ice blistering in the freezing fire
Excuse the mass appeal
Of sleazing through the gutters.

Til now, we've walked a fine line
Between tolerance and ignorance
Glance my way, I'll look away
Pretending to pray.

Don't delay
The time is approaching
Crouching behind the bushes
Behind every tree.

I'll make it easy to forgive
Let me live; Find my heart
Before you tear it apart.

Betrayed by the hands
Of my one & only love
My one and only friend
I once called confidant.
