Old age is stronger than youth
it's not the other way around
old age gets youth in a headlock
then chokes it out....

I Saw You Coming
The warm,soft breeze
turned me around
Beautiful strength,feline
panther steps
Smooth
Exciting me
Heat radiates from you
to me
or the other way around
As you pass by
Your scent lingering
though my nose to my
imagination
we connect
and always will....

A sub human waste dump named Pence
Has thoughts that defy common sense
And who wants this chump?
The assinine Trump
Who thinks with his rump so immense

What is something uproarious?
Her plan to be victorious
Who must to us speak
Since democracy’s Greek?
Hilarious Clintorius!...

Not What They Seem
things aren;t what they always seem
sometimes it could be the quite opposite
you've seen one thing
but it means another
like when someone says they don't like you
they could just mean
they don't like your personality
i could be rude, hateful, and say one thing
but i always mean it the other way around...

Dad
Dad saluted his great granddaughter Maia on skype
That was memorable for me
Dad was a military man
A Brigadier General
They saluted him and not the other way around.

But to his 5 year old granddaughter
He wheeled himself in front of the computer
And saluted her.

What a wonderful moment!
I'll never ever forget that moment....

Kindness Is Not Weakness
Being kind,
is to risk getting hurt,
feeling like a sucker,
when others do not do
what you do for them.

Choosing it,
nonetheless,
is courage,
while selfishness is cowardice,
not the other way around.

Kindness challenges injustice,
selfishness condones it,
the former innovates,
the latter follows
the follies of this fallen world....

Have Not
HAVE NOT

Two souls into one or is it
the other way around? I have
				lost myself in the transformation.
I do not regret how much I have
loved. Does the fish curse the river
for being too wet? Many secrets I have
held but love is not one of them
and should time reveal what I have
lost she cannot take my memories....

When I'M
When I’m asleep I dream of things,
That will never come to frutation like peace.
When I’m awake all I perceive is,
A land ravaged by malice, war, and un-blissful sins.
And here I was raised and though,
That these things that were supposed to go on the right went on the right,
And those that went on the left were supposed to go on the left.
Not the other way around....

More Or Less
how many years
does it take to see
the More you have
the less you're free
the other way around
is what you'd think it'd be
the More you have
the less you need
but what you need
isn't always what you have
as we all could do
with a little less
and the less you have
the More you know
it's easier
to let it go

...and when you find that
the less that you'll want...

Premium Member How Furious Are the Curious
How furious are the curious?
Or is it the other way around?
If you’re catty, are you necessarily batty?
I ponder these things with my regular doomsday frown.

How much drink will take me to the everlasting brink?
I know it may seem odd perhaps, but I just have to ask.
You see these questions come up in my mind oh so pink.
When barkeep puts too much ale in my holiday flask....

Premium Member The First Thanksgiving
The first Thanksgiving started way before the actual day.
In the spring when the natives taught the Pilgrims their seeds.
When they showed them how to plant and cultivate new produce.
If it had not been for the natives, the Pilgrims would not have made it.
It is strange that the depictions show the Pilgrims helping the Indians.
When it was truthfully the other way around from the get-go....

Premium Member I Am That I Am
I Am That I Am pervading all space

That was until I acquired a human face

The brain was a slave, it is now my master

A whirlpool of thoughts moving faster & faster

The duality of life gave birth to illusion

Dwelling in the mind, it became the ‘I’ delusion

I search in vain for the ‘Me’ with my mind, never found

For the mind is in ‘Me’, not the other way around

Deception
I thought I knew you
but then you changed
and then I knew you not

It wasn't a surprise
I had been expectant,
waiting, I was waiting

I knew we'd have to part

But I didn't know I'd cry

I didn't know you wouldn't care

I thought it'd be the other way around
you, holding your arms out to me
me, my back turned on you

I hope you're happy
I hope you'll be happy
I hope you never know that I am unhappy

Goodbye....

The hours go so fast
Whenever I see you
But minutes are eternity
In between the times I do
I really wish that it could be
The other way around
Where moments last for decades
And the second hand slows down

And so until our paths next cross
Each day I'll mark the end
With X's on my calendar,
The waiting I will spend
In coy anticipation
Of seeing you again
Of swallowing my gum
The moment you walk in...

Wishing
I could wish
A upon a star
So many times
And half expect it
Not to work
And half expect
It would
I wish for
Fantasy to become
Reality instead of
The other way around
To bad i can’t
Stop wishing
And deal with life
Maybe i’m to scared
Maybe i’m just weird
I wish the maybes
Would go away
There’s too many
Maybe's in life
So i guess
I should stop wishing too
But then again
There would be
No more possiblities...

Late Breakfast
.

Wryly he grins at the familiar thought
that he's once again eating late breakfast
over early lunch, or maybe just
the other way around.

It amuses him he's still this unsure,
much like being still unable to tell
if the orange sun in a painting
is rising or setting.

He gently brushes a strand of stray hair
from her cheek, tucks it soft behind her ear
round her nape, a fleeting smile
of uncertainty in her sleep.

He Strums Guitars Over My Head
He strums guitars over my head
While my cheeks are flushed pink
Like the sheets on my bed
Stolen glances will never come back
The pulse of my body
Screams loudly, “Heart attack!”
Oh, how the pillow hits my skull
Not the other way around
Pain from his voice is dull
No stars, solely strings to be heard
All twanged by his fingers
Fit perfect with his word
Electronic voice waves float below
A speaker pumping love
From this boy, a hello...

My Computer and I
My computer and I, always good friends,
Have avoided all the new-fangled trends.

Long ago I decided it would work for me,
Not the other way around, don’t you see?

I don’t need “Word” trying to get in my head!
For years, “Excel” has held me in good stead.

By modern standards, seen with the relics…
A monitor, keyboard, and a mouse that clicks.

I’m too old to change, my old ways I’ll cling,
For I can still make my old computer sing!...

Premium Member Conundrum
If mass equals energy
why don’t I have more energy?
It seems to happen to me
in inverse proportions.
The more pounds I weigh
the less energy I have.
The less energy expended,
then the more mass!

If I reversed this trend
and expended more energy
I suppose I would lose pounds.
Or, is it the other way around?
If I lose the weight
I will then have more energy?
Whichever it is, weight loss
doesn’t seem to be in
my immediate future.

You'Re Better Without Me
You don’t need me, you need her,
though you think
the other way around,
deceived by my eyes, my hands:
the warm glow of my gaze,
the soft skin.
The kind gentle voice
consoling you
in your darkest times

But you need her,
who has a rock solid ego,
who is not afraid
to swim with you in deep water,
for she will rise up
no matter how many times
she has been pushed down.
Her arms are strong
to lift you when you're drowning,
her feet rough for walking...
