Teacups by the sink.
Lamentations laid to rest.
I, a foetal curl,
Breathing in your life, now gone
Cocooned in your unwashed shirt.

TEACUPS
two
teacups
visiting,
wearing lipstick -
comparable but different flavors.
a neighborly steep, infused with friendship.
generous sips,
as time laughs
weeps, bonds,
spouts.

lavender umbrellas
floral teacups
fancy china plates
muffled conversations
dainty berry scones
crisp white doilies
shy looks
wedge of brie
cucumber sandwiches
tiny titters
chocolate truffles
crisp linen tablecloths
caramel lattes
fragrance of the gods

List
Shells stir and shift underfoot,
Crushed, fracturing like fine teacups
Turned brittle by the salt and sun.
You may well be anywhere,
Where the day doesn’t reach and
The waves my toes make can’t sing you to sleep,
But keep in mind always that
Everything we lose to the sea
Will be found, one day,
By another’s shore.

There's was a wager..' caused his raging.) Richie is jumping
On his stagings..Running round corridors of twitching
Curtains and talking walls.' He's madness knows no
Cageing..Wait..! till his kippers arn't poached?? Just rightly..!
There'll be' an anger most unseemly..!! Just to put it
Keenly.' Emerging; emergency perspective of this little Ritchie; to me.!

The hulls of small boats
drop down into the morning fog
then return like rising seagulls.
The moored
slip in and out of the mist
then return painted
by a deep diving sky.
Sinking or flying, the small craft
slip through our vision
like leaking ghosts.
They roll upon an obscure air
shipping cloudy waves,
a swell last seen
in shipwrecked teacups.

I Remember
I remember a time
When all was so bright
With bustling crowds
And neon lit nights
Covered wagon caterpillars
And bunnies of blue
Teacups that spun
You sat in them too
I remember the days
When scooters could fly
Pinball was king
And everything thrived
I remember the smells
Of hot dogs & beer
I remember it all
And wish it still there

There's a storm over there
just beyond an eyelid.
There will always be rumors,
but these wind-blown whispers
are in a death roll
twisting the sky this way and that.
'Fear me nots', do not bloom
this afternoon,
there are only dark flowers
their blossoming jaws
widening below the skyline.
We drink tea, dunk cookies,
ignore the tea leaves
stirring themselves
at the bottom
of trembling teacups.

~
i dreamt of a background
my thoughts could erase,
when laughter and teardrops
fell lost in this place,
and teacups from Denver
held soft drinks instead,
while words that you shouted
still ring in my head,
will anyone notice
that truth is a pawn,
to whisper a farewell
the day I am gone,
for promises shattered
are all they can be,
when every sorrow
is best friends with me

Death belies the darkness summoned,
tombstone-colored is the sky,
shards of memories merely fragments,
wailing wind the sole reply.
Violent storm winds strip the tree limbs
like a poltergeist, unseen,
tawdry feeders, heavy wind chimes,
beat against the window screens.
Waiting for the glass to shatter,
like so many childhood dreams,
china teacups, rosebud patterned
in the dustpan, unredeemed.

scattered pieces of pretty teacups -
floral, dotted, antiques.
they’re broken, like jars of clay,
and the beauties are you and me.
we find ourselves, abused and ugly,
but God’s already set the table.
we see ourselves through a dark mirror,
but when the light hits us, full on,
in our wardrobe, white -
what designs, colors and accents
shall be revealed. relish
the thought. take
a look at your perfect form
through the eyes of God

The dawn had just peeped
Through the clouds
The sweet tinkling of teacups
With the smell of Darjeeling Tea
My nose came to full alert
My mind still asleep
The frying of ginger
In really hot oil
Opened up my mind
The aroma fills the house
My mouth waters
Hands throw the blankets
Steps towards the kitchen
Where the new tantalizing
Sounds of table being laid
And chicken being fried
Years have passed
And still the sound of teacups
And smell of ginger
Puts my mind on red alert
