Short Taking Apart Poems

Tornados destroying night and day turns the sky dark and gray.  First devouring 
the sun and then the moon the end of the world will come soon.  Towns and 
cities falling through the earth.  Quakes taking apart Gia for all it`s worth.  Floods 
and tidal waves crash giving people no choice but to swim at last.  One 
catastrophe after another we should`ve been better to our mother....

                 up
It took me 
It took me 
                down
It spun me round and round
like a spinning top () ()
unknowing where it will stop
out of control one minute
then  in control the next
changes and more changes
arranging and rearranging
Building and taking apart
in the journey called life
brought to a place 
to fulfill a purpose.

Our income tax has become outrageous
Our politicians promise umbrageous
Life one step at a time
Then two steps out of rhyme
Is being honest disadvantageous?

On the Prowl

An old man who lived in a windmill
Way up north in the town of Churchill
Was warned he would have to pay
The revenue man today
Spent all night taking apart his still.

I'm not sure how many times I stop breathing
A jolt of a thought 
Takes a pause to a new place
All my words stuck in my throat
Choking on inexpression 
An in breath is dragged through
Buying me time
Which I use in the same way
My heart aches from the effort

The next lines should contrast
Talk of ease of inhalation
Words that dance, a head that rests 

Perhaps I need taking apart
And putting back together...
