A Worthy Question

A Worthy Question? Our income tax has become outrageous Our politicians promise umbrageous Life one step at a time Then two steps out of rhyme Is being honest disadvantageous? On the Prowl An old man who lived in a windmill Way up north in the town of Churchill Was warned he would have to pay The revenue man today Spent all night taking apart his still. © Harry J Horsman 2018

Love it. Looks like we may have a few common thoughts which is not very common as common sense is at a premium. Keep em coming Harry. Regards David in NZ

That's a question many most probably ponder- "is being honest disadvantageous?" Dishonesty always creates a win-lose situation. Maybe better to not join the " club," so no one gets hurt intentionally. Thought provoking limericks. Kind Regards, Aqua.

Hi Harry, The taxman will collect his dues whenever! I always pictured them as thin, sly little men with round glasses until I had to go to the Receivers office with a query and the gentleman stood up - he was about a metre above my head and had tattoos on both arms - he was a gentle spoken person just doing his job! Have a wonderful Christmas Harry and wishes to you and yours. Jennifer.

Hilarous as I can see the hillbilly taking apart that still as fast as he can unweld it.
