Edges Appear

Edges appear

As what is happening..

Seeming as differences

Dividing no-thing..

Sharp and soft

As beauty displays..

And deceiving when

Edges assert

And seem to take leave

From what is happening...

Gone and Forgotten

No matter how famous we become or what we achieve We all meet the same fate, no one gets a reprieve Be they, king or pauper Or some rich man's daughter We're all gone and forgotten when we finally take leave

Achieve Before We Take Leave

Before we all take leave, we should have goals to achieve. Did we do all we can during this finite lifespan? If we still have a long way to go, let's do something in order to grow. Allow our better side to show. Inspired by another member's poem.

Moral Ambiguity and Perpetuity

Moral Ambiguity and Perpetuity

Trump has turned into a terrible tactician
Trails he will take leave us with suspicion,
Due to what is now his poor visual acuity
Along with moral ambiguity and perpetuity;
In White House started another stupid tradition.

Let Us Not Say

Let us not say
what could have been
revisiting a limb
up high

that petite
racing hearts
of tiny little
birds alone

would dare
take leave
together, and fly --

let us not say
for fear of soaring
fear of falling
we never gave love
a try

let us not say
let us not say
a safe but sorry
firmly grounded
goodbye --

You Don'T Believe In Love?

YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN LOVE?

No, no, I take leave
To refuse to disbelieve !
Shriek out in protest at the infidel :
If no true love exists
Life is bleak subsistence!

Speak out! A soul hungers for communion,
Not a lone freak peregrination, alone
Down cold clay-heavy steps
In a black tunnel to drown
In a dead end in the ground.

October

Halloween rogues place outhouse upside down.
Nighttime, white sheets ghosts ride broomsticks sky high.
Felines cry topmost gates - they wail all-round,
while wives, mates make pleas, moans, a grief-worn sigh.
Sweet treats may stay ill used jokes - least homes try.
Porch lights turnoff - no bold gnomes, please, so late.
Take leave, new hallowed year-end night needs wait.

Autumns Passing Tears

While lying on my side in bed
I stare through windowpane and shade
And watch the autumn season fade
With every falling golden dead;
And with each leafs descent to ground
A sadness seeps into my soul.
I turn around then lose control
And shed my tears without a sound.
Why must this season loveliness
Take leave from me each passing year
And take with it all I hold dear
And leave me with this emptiness?

Robert Burns 1759-1796

His work is known around the Earth This ploughman lad of lowly birth He wooed and won the lassies braw His Jean the fairest of them aw He honoured such as mice and men And friendship flowed beneath his pen Of parity and justice wrote A line that I take leave to quote “That man to man the world o’er shall brothers be...” can’t ask for more. Diverse his works, out of his time The man who gave us “Auld Lang Syne"

In Staid Stillness

In staid stillness let us receive
with gratitude, each breath we take,
making mind tranquil like a lake,
negating schemes ego does weave,
for whose demise we need not grieve,
that in quietude we awake,
in staid stillness.

Burden of fear we chose to heave
was evidently a mistake,
which at soonest, we'd best forsake,
compelling ego to take leave,
in staid stillness.

Song Bird

Song bird, Song Bird

take leave of flight,

Sweet new morning,

Serenade in the light...

Herald, in this bright sunlight...

this song you sing
harmonise mornings first light...

Song bird, Song bird

you are the sky within...

...my heart receives your delicate notes,

like trinkets on gentle breeze...

Song bird, Song bird

take leave of flight,

You nurture our nature,

Song bird, Song bird,

Your morning awaits,

Song bird, Song bird,

You are the sky within...

Mystery Breeze

Sometimes a breeze can be
a pleasurable presence.
It makes the curtains shimmy as
it creeps into my room.

They ripple with a twitch and flutter now,
pleasant with a warmish ruffle.
But that breeze becomes a wind,
the curtains wobble, riffle, ripple.

Warmth has become wintry:
a wobble and a ruffle bestow
violence now with a blow.

Close that window and tell
that gust to go, quit, take leave.
Yes, it does have a name I try not to utter.

'live Life'

The smile is still there hovering, gaze beyond the now to a place where love resides with no questions like why? There is more why not’s in the air. Look at life as a precious gem, a jewel bestowed on the chosen ones.. It's not a rushed affair not a place where short cuts lead to grace. Every step you take leave prints behind and every breath you take brings you closer to the divine.

I Don'T Ask For Much

Life...Tell me that you like me Breeze...Whisper sweet nothings in my ears Rainfall...Gift me mist and fog Silken sheets...Soak up my tears Memories...Bless me with sweet reveries Trials...make me a better man Age...Give me wisdom please Time...make me the best I can Patience...Tell me I have naught but time Anger...Please take leave of me Peace...Be a constant companion of mine And love...I know it’s asking a lot, but …`make me the best lover I can be...
