Trump and His Scabs
Trump and His Scabs

What Trump did do is try to keep tabs,
On Russia, who completed land grabs,
We would stare,
At golden hair,
And dry skin that created many scabs.

Nine tabs open, where is the music coming from My mind's a steel trap, but it's a challenge by gum Maybe it's the site about Mars Or some other site quite bazaar Maybe it's the one that challenges my cerebellum

What We Lost
Mobiles took from us face talk,
heaters took from us the feeling of fire to the skin,
tabs took from us the love for the rivers and streams,
keyboards took from us the feeling of a pen in hand,
theory took from us praticality
and freedom took from us the embrace of having....

The Smoking Room
Mutters in the corner,
Halfheard mumblings of conversations,
Uninteresting lives. Dull.
Smoke from tabs mixing with
Cold breath, dancing their escape.
Staring.
Dreaming.
Slate grey walls holding up a shanty roof.
Rain falls, pitter pat
Random thoughts.
Huddle together - apart....

Curfew
your eyes burn brighter than the stars
no force of gravity could pull as strong
or fall as hard as I
transfixed and made to gaze
on sundials keeping tabs and time
I would make the planets realign
eclipsing, shutting out the sun
I would plunge the world in darkness
just to stay here past tonight...

north and south
east and west
the seasons four
regular like clockwork
they drove our calendar
now somehow become
an unpredictable mishmash
lacking rhyme or reason
as we keep leery tabs
on climate change

A Sunny 4th of July
Sadly, I have been forsaken;
Every shady bench is taken.
Sunny spots are up for grabs.
I sit down while keeping tabs
On nearby seats which are in shade,
With odds against me, I’m afraid.

Still, there is a little breeze
Provided by surrounding trees.
Boats upon the river glide;
I am glad to be outside.
Fireworks tonight I’ll see
Indoors, on screen, with cool a/c....

Ladybug and Dragonfly
I opened the window to let in fresh air
In came a ladybug who landed on my chair
In next came a dragonfly with black beaded eyes
It stared down the ladybug its found its prize
Up went the wings on the ladybugs back
She must escape or become a snack
A dash to the window the ladybug flew Next came the dragonfly who landed in my shoe
Goodbye little ladybug enjoy your day
I’ll keep tabs on this dragonfly for a little longer stay...

In Africa It Is Drug Resistant
In Africa it is drug resistant
it is a disease infecting minds
minds of opportunists it targets
but I know only its nick- name

If you treat it with law-drugs
the will-drug you inject in veins
you try antibiotic treatment tabs
it hides and sleeps in blood cells

Opportunists desire to fall sick
but the people yell and kick dust
the more they search for the cure
the greater the frustration and pain

What can Africans do but look on,
as the epidemic resists medicines?...

Goodbye
I shaved my chin for you
It dripped dark red blood.
So that yours wouldn't burn.

I looked into the bathroom mirror
Searching for the reason these dark circles appear
My eyes are still blue
Blue with a yellow ring

Pull the tabs of paper
Stuck like glue
Freshly smooth and smelling of after shave...

The overture of an Indian summer
Gone on to long
I welcome a new winter, I sing along.
I won't do it again, this so called Indian summer my friend

You're to greedy for my skin...
