Sharing space with myself
replaying ‘what if’
Symbiosis conjoins
the jazz in the riff
The progression regressive
separation be damned
My shadow imploding

You steal my breath,
as I borrow your words
You fill my eyes,
as I empty my fear
Your heart beats in my chest,
as it breaks in my soul
You begin where I end

from the construction site,
in a language I can't yet
grasp,
and his weary wife brings him
pork ribs, a lunch;
why?...there's a deli nearby:
maybe they like it that way,
maybe he shouted, "I love you"
Do I think I believe,
or believe that I think
Are they both the same thing,
a pen with two inks
Does one include faith,
and the other just mind
Or are they conjoined

Asking for permission or not

Life even knowing nothing,
provides poetry with the means of
transformation... Thus, in this symbiosis,
one with its harsh nature,
the other with its tenderness...

Maze of life, Mirror of thought

The recognition dizzied, paralyzed
Come thunder to break the ice
Come harpoon to cut control
Bring spirit underground
Where echoed sounds still resound
Love reigns in wet drops
Love conquers all shields

a sophistication

mischief

inner
connection
delicate
miniatures
of
latent
chance
in spontaneity
coherent
components
in a
loose
symbiosis
of
opaque
circles
droplets in cipher
Lots of Leos in my life –
Astrologers believe
That certain signs with others
Symbiosis do achieve.
My husband is a Leo
And his birthday is today.
We’d celebrate regardless of
The Zodiac’s okay.
But the stars are in alignment
For this Leo and this Aries
Have shared many celebrations,
Never once as adversaries!
Somewhere in a rugged sunny terrain
a bushy-maned pony kicks up his heels
amid biting flies in a grueling summer heat.
An elegant cattle egret hitches a ride.
Devouring grassland insects, his daily diet,
the egret helps his buddy in his plight
keeping the flies at bay while loping along
together through brush and grass and sage.
What are our millennium fables?
Women keep giving each other labels,
No harmony for our ecology,
An alliance should be our synergy,
No accountability for the economy,
No wise leaders to steer us to unity,
Century's getting older, folks!
Any teamwork to cast off these yokes?
Symbiosis should aim at harmony,
Let's pray for millennium synergy!

distance we share
Caught in the fury
of loves abandon
You wander inclement

a twin of reflection

algae plus fungi...
cyanobacteria
paired perfection

I may have always loved you
And with you been in tune
I didn't always know you
But once I did it soon
Became fairly apparent
That something else was there
Several commonalities
Were breathing the same air
We blended well together
The more we did consort
Then symbiosis clarified,
You lead and I support
And that is how I like it
Just give me things to do
And together we'll accomplish
All that you want to
In perfect time
We waltz and wait;
The steps we take
Are image mirrored.
The world upon
It's axis spins;
The musical lilt
Engages, begins.
Matched, akin
Doppelganger statues;
Animated frame
By frame.
Skirt each ledge
With eagle caution,
Yet things will
Never be the same.
No ties, no strings,
No force of will,
For hearts and minds
In parallel.
We dance and wait
In symbiosis;
Only time
Will truly tell.
Form:
She visits but she won’t stay long
Though where she goes to, no-one knows
My words all seem to come out wrong
As she departs and takes my prose
I like to think
I’m saving ink
It’s clear in me she does belong
My notions won’t form nice neat Rows
Was not our symbiosis strong
As slow she comes and quick she goes
