Swell Times

Off shore wind
Spitting white caps
Foam blown surf
Out running tide
Hidden sun
In racing clouds
As Nature flees the strand
And I am left
To feel bereft
Barefoot in windblown sand

Premium Member Swell, Well, Hell

"Swell. Well.... Hell."

In that zone, playing from home
When interrupted by the phone
Then starting to cry
And wanting to die
It was about my student loan

Premium Member SWELL TOM HOME SWEET HOME

Hey Tom, you look well cared for and well fed,
Sure you longed to sleep in your own bed,
You must've had pain, hope they spoiled you,
More medication, preferred a whiskey or two,
Which nurse did you like best, which one a dread.

Hollows Swell and Labor

A desolate shore reaches, its gritty scree taunts a green and tumbling sea. Breakers slap an umpteenth juncture. Kelp sea pods dilate, foam swirls in the shingle, barren wombs drink. Krill churns out of a sandy dross. Waves carry their children away.

Home Here

Here is my home, swell,
It is where I do dwell,
I fit into this 'burb real well,
In summer, hot as hell,
I sit here with my coffee,
To gaze at society,
You do appear strange to me,
Want to know what I think about thee?
My home is here, all is well,
I fit into my little town real swell!

Sea Swell

Behold the blue seaswell
That lifts itself
A glassy morning
Out of the sea's heaving breast:
The open ocean wave
That draws itself
Across the rock reef
Cresting toward the fine pitch
That exhilirates the very air
With a perfect mane of spray
                                         -Big Sur

Humanity is as an ocean, politicans
Create emotion..That indeed a
Wave might rise.? That they in time; can
Ride.' So before you choose a side..Think
How much blood and wealth and pride.'
Maybe.. Consider? Before you jump into the
Drink..Perhaps the better side.? Could
Well be in
Normalcy to bide.?

Shatter the Shell and Raise the Swell

shatter the shell and raise the swell
the crispness and swiftness of a southeaster fell
battered blue lips craving summers breast
the raspberry round,the milk,the nest

an inner thigh by which to sigh
the ears for tongues in which to lie
beneath,between,we two are spun
the speedqueen and the coin
together
one.

Listen to poem:
The swell is rising,
furrowing the brow of seascape,
forewarning of storm arising.
Sheer bliss for surfers,
toil and trouble incising
ferment and foreboding
on sailor's foreheads, glistening,
with the spray and froth flung
from wave-top manes breaking,
off from white horses on the bay prancing.

Premium Member A Swell Guy

This Christmas, hubby’s waistline has expanded quite a bit
So much so that all his clothes simply do not fit
I took him to the tailor, who looked a little prim
I pointed at my man and said I want a suit for him
He looked him up and down and when he spoke his tone was grim
‘Might I suggest a red one, with a nice white furry trim.’

Ocean's Swell

Watching waves, to and fro
tumble and rise, above the flow

blues and greens and similar shade
waves of trees as your background of the cascades

Majestic mountains compliment your immensity
Oregon beaches' natural proclivity

guided by the moon's lead to dance
crashing waves leaving me entranced

how I crave
the sound of the Oregon wave

Lunar Vibration's Swell.....

As if floating thru a powdered sugar mist,
Luna's sweet vibration,a confectioners kiss.....
moulding exquisite layers of soma's bliss,
remiss nought experience which reminisce....

Far away dreams lit upon starlight waves,
only to be realized within life stream raves
desire of the beauty in which it gave,
moments which engender,then tenderly enslave.....

Lost temporarily enchanted by it's spell,
full moon swoons as it rises and swells......

The Swell of a Wish

Mystery and silence wait at dusk, soon their shadows will tuck me in, and a silver moon, curved and hooked, will come to rock and let me cry. Beyond the edge of seas, tides flow unhurried, carry my wish with each swell and rise, they hum a lullaby under a moon more like a sun. Yet I awake to find life’s precious wishes nestled in some dust clouds, unreachable, sun catches and holds my face to the water, reflecting desperation turned into agony.
