all of it
the jobs
the relationships
the striving
the failing
the achievements (I'm guessing)
and more begets more
all the do's of you hafeta do
you can get tired beyond exhaustion
tired of your self
your thoughts (if you are inclined to that sort of thing)
and relief is much needed
some quiet 
a long walk 
to 
the middle of
nowhere
some surcease
the compassion of a dog's eyes...

One day, it all ended,
Her bubble was burst!
She wondered if she were 
somehow accursed!

It was just reality, kicking her
in the pants.
She begin to meditate and stop
all the worthless rants.

Music soothed her saddened,
sore soul.
A cup of chamomile tea and a 
dainty cinnamon roll.

Ah, then she could pen, it was
her release.
That poetic palace of eternal 
surcease!

the injured spirit to protect. 
No tangled reminisce provides,

of such tortured mind. 
Nor time-fogged recall 
that guide requires - 
So indelibly scored, Regret's cold ire.

And soul bereft of all hope of gain,
Forsakes Intention's road,
for one paved in self - disdain. 
And all the way,
the mocking laugher never fades.

They need not say one word.
You swim in peace with just a
look in the mystery of their eyes.
The invocation of their hands is 
a call to peace

Christmas tree!

tell tales of courage
hope and faith my
mind will not hold these
sliding thoughts tonight.

tonight I am afraid
it has been growing
 in my gut all day
 tying myriad knots
like a crazed boy scout.

I am afraid with no surcease
it is paralyzing me 
binding me into the woman
I do not know.

write, write, 
scribble her out
it is my only way of 
battle, expose the witch. 

fear is corrosive 
and scuttles through 
my night  an alien
