Leaving Home

leaving home

tell tales of courage
hope and faith my
mind will not hold these
sliding thoughts tonight.

tonight I am afraid
it has been growing
 in my gut all day
 tying myriad knots
like a crazed boy scout.

I am afraid with no surcease
it is paralyzing me
binding me into the woman
I do not know.

write, write,
scribble her out
it is my only way of
battle, expose the witch.

fear is corrosive
and scuttles through
my night an alien
awaiting me tomorrow.

Is this about moving on? It must be scary and the fear is infectious. Albeit my situation is different in that I felt stuck here, the fear was there. So now I learnt the value of meditation and it changed everything. I hope youre allright.

I am fine now Jannie, the poem is about a growing fear I have been battling regarding leaving my house for appointments act. I am to all intents and purposes a recluse.
