Poor Richard

Walk along the ridges,
Pay for your pretty bridges,
Subsist in subsistence
Regard me without difference
I am a stow-away forgetfulness

Heaven

Whatever dies is sure to be missed
Its void reclaimed by an optimist
At the end of the day
We shall all fade away
To a Heaven where dreams still subsist

Thrive

One could subsist and merely survive,
                          or become persistent and learn to strive.

The Sahara Desert

Can't think of a more inhospitable place The Sahara Desert has such a barren landscape Yet people exist Continue to subsist It boggles the mind how it's a livable space

Clandestine Lovers

Casual lovers
      create unique, magical moments
      that soon cease to exist...
      do not share hopes
      everything suddenly happens
      They notice that
      other similar moments
      do not subsist...

Water

Water Written: by Miracle Man 5/16/2024 Morning started with just a tiny mist, leaves on plants are just being kissed. It won’t be long, until they’re strong, and from my water hose they ‘ll subsist.

To Finally Live

To respire is to subsist
To scurry is to fly
To be who you are is to bare your inner core
To be devoided of you is to finally subsist
To breath is to live
To run is to fly
To be who you are is to find your calling
To be with out you is to finally live!!!

Subsist

Who are we in this world?
Nothing but a thought.

What is that we are living for?
Whatever that we’ve ever taught.

Why should you continue this life?
Death is sweet and right in front of me it stares

What if the people talk about you?
Even if they did, who cares?

An Unselfish Gesture

Written: by Miracle Man 6/7/2020 Today I planted an Oak tree, knowing I’d never sit in its shade, But I believe that someday, a bird will build a nest, a squirrel will subsist from it’s acorns, and some other might find solace in its presence. Tom

A True Poet of Time

I don't narrate
              story...
            I live it!
            I do not compose
              poetry...
             I extract it from me!
             I don't subsist
              only in this life...
              I also reside
               in the future... !

The Hourglass

Mankind's finite days, as minute grains of sand. Methodically exit the hourglass, That God possesses in hand. Mankind fathoms not hours, nor discerns time of day. Nor perceives what God, has chosen as parting way. But when hourglass is empty, and judgment day's at hand. excuses then, will not subsist, Nor will God grant more sand. Ecclesiastes 11;3

Unbalanced Lunches

     An unfortunate habit
       so many have formed

     Eating three meals a day
       since the year they were born…

     A slice of bread dipped in salt
       morn and eve was enough

     For laborers to subsist on
       when civilization was tough…

     Today we complain about ‘unbalanced lunches’
       ~ though Huns at the doorstep rarely pull punches

Me,Myself and I

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  *-*  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a simple unambiguous entity existing -subsist in an exceptional world
 Undergone changes - only permanent,ineradicable
   Never quit and chuck up the sponge coz' never been routed and defeated
     Just breathing for life
      Understanding perplexing creations - humans,animals,plants,insects and the whole...
        Nothing else...
Opaque Dreams
O beautiful night
your black wings
extinguish the light
cloak me in darkness
paint my face in shade
for I am a shadow to life
existing on ash and soot
I am sustained in a void
covered in mother earth
my mask of horror is hidden,
but a full moon unveils my face
and the pall of depression bows
 the ebony trail I shred
withdraws from inner light,
I shall subsist in shadows
until silence rules no more
Dream
If true love subsists
Then hate the truth
It should not be done though
This world must be great
We will live in a human society
Full of love and peace
It needs to subsist life
And beyond the sea
We will all come with each other
And shaking hands together
The world is one now
We will stand each other
And in perfect orchestration
Soon this world will shout
It was God's scheme
But it was our dream.
A Path Not Taken
A Path Not Taken Written: by Miracle Man 5/12/2020 Married life had been like butterless toast, feeling forced to subsist on unshucked corn. Forlorn days, he believed, were his host, Now a hinder look finds him dated and worn. As his days mounted, and years elongated, occasionally depression reared its ugly head. Now, what if’s, are in his thoughts debated, should he have chosen the other path instead?
Love Is Actually---Not
Love is Actually - NOT
Love is actually hate’s evil sister
masquerading as the touch of passion’s tryst
harsh flame to make the lover’s psyche blister
lying lips to slyly soothe the forming cyst.
Sipping slowly from nearly empty snifter
savoring the truth on which Love’s lies subsist
fatal swordplay of dueling Cinderella’s
battling the darkness of lust’s empty cellars.
Your Kingdom, My Life
I once lived in a realm
A kingdom as vast as an open farm
Wondering why I was offered a place so warm?
Sitting without a scepter, a head with no crown
I am just a humble servant
Not a king but one vagrant
I am honored to be an entrant
To be recognized as true servant
I have sailed many seas
Through the years lurched and subsist
Yours is the kingdom where I stand and exist
My life in your palm,  so kind and so warm...
  I commend, not resist!
Friend Blessed
I feel so very blessed to have you as my friend,
You share with all the love you have to lend.
You shine with beauty in form and in soul,
You share not in bits and pieces but as a whole.
I couldn't ask for a better friend to treasure,
With your heart felt gratitude, you make it a pleasure.
Your friendship helps me to subsist,
Your always ready in a moments notice to assist.
With you as my friend the unknown has no fear,
For your smile lights the way and shines with cheer.
My Lover
In the dark mist
My lover I kissed.
I tried to resist
But he did persist.
Begun as a tryst,
But then as a twist
I now do exist
To meet, and I wished
That I hadn’t missed
My chance to exist
Each day as his.
Instead I dismissed
His earlier wish
To marry and in love subsist.
I am tied at the wrist
To a man with a fist
Who treats me like property of his.
In nightmares I moan and twist
While in dreams I exist
In the dark mist
With the lover I kissed.
The Good Side of Things
May hate dissolve
May fear shrink back.
Murders cease to exist
Fighting turn into embraces.
May peace be our dedication
May prejudice slip out of minds.
Acceptance of all people
Giving room to one another.
May kindness wrap our hearts
May trust overpower jealousy.
Lies become innocent
Opinions become respected.
May anger become happiness
May promises become reality.
Peace becomes reality instead of an idealism
Love remains true.
May this side of things one day subsist.
