Tranquil Beginnings
Through the fore-day veil,
First blush sublimely dawning
Over mossy rock....

Mother's sacred seeds
slide into Earth's slick sliming
soil of post-secular soul
for sublimely sticky
ego-systemic surrender....

Sunny Outlook
life would be a dark lonely wilderness
Without your love,
You light up my soul
Like the sun up above
The twinkle in your eyes
Illuminates my life
And it makes my life sublimely
Ever so bright...

Sublimely Subliminal
Birds cackle overhead
in the grey mews
as wind lisps around
the dead children
held in the arms of
ancient wisened trees
Whispers jump from raindrops
while my eyes flirt with imagination

Happy
I'm fresh as a daisy
and happy as a clam
refreshed and replenished
Enthused is what I am!

It helps I'm off work now
I'm not watching the news
No murders or mayhem
To bring me the blues

Sublimely oblivious
Spells "happy" to the letter
As far as information
Sometimes less is better!...

On Viewing Pike's Peak
Take a hike, Zebulon Pike
Lofty spires sublimely inspires
Twisted pines, ties that bind
Gnarled roots, leather boots
Boulders cover, birds hover
Desperate schemed, pleasant dreams
Lofty grndeur, glad I'm here
Rusted rock, nature's walk
Talking hawks, gawking flocks
Drink your fill, eternities still...

'toxic State' of Mind Control
She was a chill drink of water,
 found him sublimely toxic
went down smooth and easy, a
bad boy finessing timely advances,
yet, her mama learned her good
about those types and sugar,
   turned the tables on him
added brine to his own elixir
so the poison was sure to burn

Feasting On Poetry
The poesy of chef's soup du jour,
   peppered in a skillfully delectable
            pauperized simmer
       or sublimely enriched dish of
          ultimate truffle butter grandeur,
either method is subtly rendered mid
      tastefully tendered aromatic
              proffers of broken bread,
          farther delectable poetry's bouquet...

Twilight's Glow
It is nearing on to a second spring night,
While twilight’s glow is coloring the western sky;
Brown horses are silhouetted against its brilliance,
Purple, lilac, coral misty and mysterious stripes.

Misty for the days' wispy clouds are floating softly;
Mysterious, the universe so sublimely spawned,
Eyes close across time's rolling like ivory dominoes falling,
Only to open again to a pink and pearlescent dawn....

A rose, another name for a rose,
sublimely gifted artist, honest,
time-worn, blithely unseen season grows.

Me, who is more than mother dearest?

Meager cutting from bouquet I chose;
religious, tattered and quite modest
as an innocent child blindly goes.

Changing poet of verse and of prose.
Rose, I chose, ilk sounds in the forest.
A rhythmic mundane poetic pose.

Me, who is more than mother dearest?

I am Seraphim voyaging to descend
Spanning the lake of invisible water
A spindrift of twirls of huffing wind
Falling-in Fall leaves gathered on a rusted altar
Blissing in delicate spirals I bend
Just where the river ends
Exalted and brilliant within intangible halos
I light the world then setting slow
In golden hues I fade then falter
Sublimely reimagined I do delight
To evaporate into the glow of night
Painting the moon with vestiges of the coming day...

Premium Member You Are My Inspiration
Listen to poem:
You bring something
So whimsical to my life
From deep within my soul
Emerges new emotion
I feel awakened
Exquisitely fabulous
Sublimely in love
It’s like touching
The edge of eternity
And as you wholeheartedly
Give me your hand
I’ll guide you through
The passages of my soul
Where we can
Cross the threshold
And dance into inspiration

Music is a sweet spring shower for romantics. For the weary, it is a soothing stream flowing sublimely through one’s soul. It is a pond or lake, reflecting joy. For those in search of thrills, its waves pound frenetically to lighthouse strobe lights across an ocean’s roar in the night. Like water, music takes many different forms. Find your pleasure; let it wash over you! For Geraldine Taylor's the 'Poetry Anthology - Music Theme' Poetry Contest
